@j0j0dartiste21 you do not even know my stance. My stance is to end the payroll tax. Ever wonder why so many companies pay employees via healthcare insurance? It is because it is a tax free way to pay employees. With a wage they have to pay a payroll tax. With healthcare insurance they don't.
Here are the problems it creates. One, healthcare insurance is now healthcare. Unlike car insurance where you use it for unplanned, expensive situations like an accident, but car insurance does not pay for new tires. Healthcare insurance pays for all healthcare. It should exist for unplanned emergencies. But for routine check ups it should not. With that, like buying tires, we should shop around, force providers to compete and watch the price drop. One reason healthcare is so expensive is because so many do not know what is in the cost. They do not see it.
Another advantage of ending the employer base healthcare insurance is that when someone changes jobs they do not lose healthcare insurance. For example. I just got a new job. I had to fill out benefit forms. What would be easier would be for me, at a young age, get healthcare I pay for myself. Get a plan that suits me, and have it for life. So at a young age I hardly use it, but as I get older I do.
You see, the problem with healthcare it too much government. As for healthcare being a commodity, someone has to provide it. It just doesn't appear out of nowhere.

@j0j0dartiste21 The internet I would agree is a mess. However, many cell phones do hot spots now. Also, there are issues with wind, solar and nuclear. But I do feel we should go to nuclear overall. However, gas and coal are still the cheapest options in many places. It isn't like we can change our power grid overnight. In fact, read the book The Grid on how complex our power grid system is. Along with that, alternative energy is a mess as well. In that book there is a case study of how a power company ran off of water and wind. The water source was overflowing thus the dams had to be opened up more. However, that meant too much power would be generate. So they cut power flow from the windmills. The windmill company got pissed because they are paid based on how much power they generate for the company. So there is that.
You don't want the banks to be nationalize. That is a sure fire way to mess up the economy. That is why the Federal Reserve is quasi government. Also, it was the creation of the FDIC that one, did keep the economy in the 30s from going completely dead, but also led to the issue of bailouts. And property is an investment.
College education is an investment. That is the real value in it.
Providing healthcare services to people does make the price higher because the actual consumer does not see the price tag. We see it now with insurance. Healthcare providers charge $20 for a band aid, $40 for Advil, etc. Consumer does not know, they are not paying for it.

@j0j0dartiste21 we can try to remove those variables, but it isn't that easy. We have talked about obesity being a problem for decades. What changed? Cancer research has been done for years, what improved?
Long term effects from covid is rare. Also, those players do not have to play. They do still and it appears they are not scared of covid. Why we allow them to play? Because people moved on from covid. If you want to hide you can. I, and others, have moved on. I rather enjoy life and die of covid than die alone locked in my room. Same with nursing home patients who said they rather die of covid than dying alone. Life is full of risk and many of the covid pre-cautions, such as washing hands, keeping distance, staying home if sick, cleaning surfaces, etc. we should have been doing prior to covid.
Polio was around when our healthcare system was nowhere near what it is now. As for the Dickey Amendment, it was just meant for the CDC which is great. Keep limits on those unelected organizations.
If you are a felon you can't own a gun. As for mental illness, how do you measure that? I have a mental illness by definition. All my doctors said I am safe to own guns. Mental illness is vague and can't be directly measure like diabetes or a broken arm. So it isn't that easy. And it is pretty difficult to get a fire arm. As with driving, you are allowed a license until you break the law. Just like you are allowed a gun until you break the law.
Ever thought the world is not that dangerous because of the possibility of someone owning a gun is in someone's mind?
If another amendment were create to override the 2nd that is the system. It will never happen though.

@j0j0dartiste21 ignored what experts? Many experts felt what we did with the covid restrictions were too far, the the lockdowns went to long and more damage was done because of the lockdowns. Also, he never called covid a hoax. But it says something when many democrats violated their own covid restrictions like Newsom, Lightfoot (even recently with masks), Biden when he violated his own mask mandate, Pelosi, etc.
On post office and masks, there was a masks shortage with healthcare workers.
As for the stimulus checks, that is on congress. Trump wanted more but Pelosi said no until after the election, and they Pelosi agreed to do another round of stimulus. Biden did not give people $1400, congress did. Trump wanted to do that, in fact he wanted more, but again, Pelosi said no. She was a part of the democrat crowd that made the virus political.

@j0j0dartiste21 what about McDonalds? Also, it is annoying to see millionaire athletes complain about problems in society. Do it off the field/court. Not on it. Yes, they are our monkeys. They are paid millions to entertain us, not try to "educate" us.
These guys are millionaires, donate money, hold fund raisers to solve the problem. When has Kaepernick done that? Talk is cheap bud. They have done nothing.
Trump controlled zero of his businesses as president. First day he signed off of them. If he did not he would have been removed from office easily.
So you rather have career politicians, people with zero experience in actual reality and knowing how the general public works and feels serving us? A big problem with democrats is that the main people are career politicians. Biden, Pelosi, Harris, Schumer, etc. People who went straight to government. Democrats who actually know what is going on did not. Hickenlooper started businesses that were successful. Tulsi joined the military. Those are democrats that actually interacted with society. Career politicians are people who are complete failures in life so they went to politics and abused the system to move up as opposed to working hard. You talk about politicians and writing their own rules. You do know that congress can literally vote for their own raises and benefits?
If you want government to benefit you, look locally.
