  82.  @j0j0dartiste21  we can try to remove those variables, but it isn't that easy. We have talked about obesity being a problem for decades. What changed? Cancer research has been done for years, what improved? Long term effects from covid is rare. Also, those players do not have to play. They do still and it appears they are not scared of covid. Why we allow them to play? Because people moved on from covid. If you want to hide you can. I, and others, have moved on. I rather enjoy life and die of covid than die alone locked in my room. Same with nursing home patients who said they rather die of covid than dying alone. Life is full of risk and many of the covid pre-cautions, such as washing hands, keeping distance, staying home if sick, cleaning surfaces, etc. we should have been doing prior to covid. Polio was around when our healthcare system was nowhere near what it is now. As for the Dickey Amendment, it was just meant for the CDC which is great. Keep limits on those unelected organizations. If you are a felon you can't own a gun. As for mental illness, how do you measure that? I have a mental illness by definition. All my doctors said I am safe to own guns. Mental illness is vague and can't be directly measure like diabetes or a broken arm. So it isn't that easy. And it is pretty difficult to get a fire arm. As with driving, you are allowed a license until you break the law. Just like you are allowed a gun until you break the law. Ever thought the world is not that dangerous because of the possibility of someone owning a gun is in someone's mind? If another amendment were create to override the 2nd that is the system. It will never happen though.

  92.  @j0j0dartiste21  what are food deserts? And sure, Michelle Obama focused on physical health. So what? Many have. In the end it depends on the individual. Also, under Obama food given to students at Title I school, which the federal government funds, did not become healthier. In fact, that is a whole different mess in how food is thrown away at Title I schools. Go to one and see the asinine rules they have to follow with the breakfast there. Go to a gun show sometime. People there do background checks. In an organized event like that venders are not going to risk going to jail selling to a felon. On the street is different, but compare it to drugs at that point. Drugs are illegal but still get sold on the street. Mental illness is complex. Here is what is ironic with you. The federal government in the 60s places a huge hand in mental healthcare with the passage of the Community Mental Health Act. What happened? Only half the hospitals that planned to be built were. There were all understaffed and mental healthcare become worse in our nation because of it. So the federal government getting heavily involved in a portion of healthcare made it worse. And with mental health, it is hard to tell is someone is that on edge. Not all are like my sister who is on suicide watch every 15 minutes and has an history of assault. A lot are like me that you will not know I had a mental health problem unless I told you. Mental health is not something you can quantify like diabetes or cancer. There is no test for it.
