@kataratify one, what pandemic? Next, the second you interact with society you place others out there at risk in some way. The risk is never zero. At this point people are trying to make the risk with covid to be zero, that will never be the case.
There is no evidence that masks work. I do not listen to Tucker either, I have a science degree. I have looked at the numbers. I can make this argument. You bring up the 500,000 deaths which is very deceptive. You can't just throw numbers out there with zero context. Of those who died, what was their overall health, their age, their lifestyle? Also, what damage was done by the covid restrictions and compare that to the damage by the virus. Again, I have a science degree and a few months from getting my PhD. If I were to just present a number with no context like you did my work will be discredited.
The only reason why this has lasted a year is because of people like you who just kept listening to the powers to be as they shifted the goal posts on the standards.

@kataratify I never said smoking as constitutional, so I gave the example of a church and being allowed to peacefully assemble which you are ignoring that.
What pandemic? Deaths from covid are vastly overstated. Funny you cite the CDC when one, they admit that 94% of people who died with covid had underlying conditions, and thus were at high risk of death to begin with and two, have two categories. They are people who died from covid and people who die with covid. However, those numbers are lumped together to where the public gets an over inflated number of "covid deaths". Also, the CDC has proven the last year to be complete hacks. They say schools can reopen but a couple days later retracted their statement only after teacher unions, not scientists complained. They have been inconsistent on masks. They have ignored several other factors related to covid such as mental health issues, depression, substance abuse, etc. and only focused on the virus.
"Oh, and they break out the numbers based on specific causes. I'm referring to those adults who were perfectly healthy prior to the pandemic (which apparently you don't even think exists) who yes, did end up dying."
Which makes up, at best, 6% of the "covid deaths".
"Or the healthcare workers that exposed themselves to the virus to treat these patients. "
Healthcare workers are exposed to many different illnesses and many stressful situations as a whole. That is part of the job they are trained for and why nursing school is so difficult to get into.
As for nursing home deaths, my point is this. They are people who are at high risk of deaths to begin with, they always have been. We have never radically changed our society in the past before, so why now? Why the sudden change? That is the point. This virus is not that dangerous. People dying with it are at high risk of death to begin with and if the virus does not do it something else will in the same timeframe. That is how it has always been and again, we have never done anything radical in the past before.
"Eh, your too old, your sick, no nurses for you! Just stick them in a room and wait for the inevitable. "
And here is what you are supporting instead
"You are old and sick, and now there is this virus running around. Here, we will lock you in this room to protect you from it. You can't see love ones in your final days in life nor enjoy life but instead hide from this scary virus so you do not catch it but instead die of other health factors you have including, now, loneliness and depression as you cannot see loved ones."
That is literally what you support now You may think low of me but you are one who is lost and delusional in life. Here is a little advice for you, death is a part of life. There are risks. If you are scared you can stay home. Let others live life. Please, stop expressing your fear on others. As you see many are just going to live life now and stop being scared.
