The average walmart employee makes over $11/hr. Bernie Sanders is an amazing politician to keep get hiring for being wrong and bias all the time.

If you establish a "living wage" (which doesn't exist) and a maximum wage then the economy will fall apart. There is no incentive to work and produce so we will create no capital and crap products. Our standard of living will be terrible.
1
Sanders have never worked in the private sector. He is a career politicians and from the policies he supports it shows.
1
What is a living wage? I work a min. wage job. Now just knowing that you may find it hard to believe that I live by myself, own a car, and am close to finishing college. But that min. wage job is a 10 hour a week part time job. My fulltime pays around $14/hr. You can't determine a living wage since there are too many variables involved to determine if a person making a certain wage is making a living or not. Most making $9.50/hr or less are fine.
1
Hey Sanders, how about you tell me what the concept of the min. wage is or how the economy works with all you experience. Oh, wait, you have none outside of politics. He must have ran against an idiot to win. Sanders, you are greedy, you are selfish and you are a radical.
1
Ok, one, student loans. He recently went against raising the interest rates of student loans and he submitted a number of stories of people struggling on student loans. He didn't submit a story like mine or many of my colleagues or former teachers who pulled out student loans, got jobs and are doing well and paid them off. He was a radical on that subject. Another, the min. wage. 89% of individuals who earn $9.50/hr or less are not poor. Businesses don't pay a higher wage because of one reason..
1
The $9.50/hr or less comment is about a study done when Obama wanted to raise the min. wage to $9.50/hr and it showed that people making that much money or less were not poor thus raising the min. wage would have done nothing to help the poor. If walmart gave a $2/hr raise what would happen to it's stock? Stock holders are risking their money and walmart invests a lot of profits to improve. And ever thought that we have develop policies that hinder people from working at WM from living?
1
So what is your solution? Give them money for producing nothing? That is the problem right now. You have a group of people who are lazy and they ask the government for help and it "helped." Just giving money away lowers the value of the dollar and hurts the economy. You have to create competition so people can move up and sell their skills and if they don't then they will simply get what they deserve. It isn't simple mind. If anything is simple minded it is democrats who think handouts help.

In terms of productivity employees are actually getting paid more. Unit labor cost is rising which is the hourly compensation over productivity has been going up through the years.
1
Mr. Sanders, I want to see as many people as possible have the best healthcare possible. Not everyone have "healthcare" that is really not that good. I want this economy to boom so as many people can do well even if they lack education or skills. Politicians like Sanders are very dangerous. Zero experience in the private sector. Only job he has ever had was politics so he has zero experience all together. But yet he somehow represents voters. The sooner he is gone from office the better.

If the founding fathers supported federal welfare they would have put in in the constitution and establish a federal income tax. They didn't meaning you are wrong.

I worked at a fulfillment center and the job was not bad. Boring, but not bad.
1
CEOs get that much money because they are worth that much. Look at how much they control and the responsibility they have. And people don't always have to depend on stocks. Some people choose too, especially people with extra money. Just that there are people who invested their money in stock.
1
I worked for Amazon fulfillment center, it was not bad. The min. requirement is a GED. You don't even need a high school diploma to work there. Sorry, but if you don't like working there find another job.
1
Plus, the average hourly wage is $23/hr. If corporations were so set on paying everyone the bare minimum then the average wage will be closer to $8/hr but it isn't.
1
How is that stupid? A lot of people say that if we were to remove the min. wage businesses will pay next to nothing but here we have businesses that pay more than they have too already. This shows that the min. wage if frivolous.
1
I worked at Amazon fulfillment center. The working conditions were fine. The opinion of three people who are not educated or intelligent enough to get a higher paying job is not something I will take serious.
1
Sorry facts hurt your feelings.
1
That I am allowed to get a second part time job to supplement my income and that part time job pays the min. wage. What I am saying is that depending on someone's situation they can live off of a min. wage job. Lets say someone works a min. wage job for 20 hours a week, only job they have. But they have a spouse who makes a over $50,000/yr,, no that person doesn't need a living wage. Same with people who have roommates or live with parents. You can't determine a living wage.
1
Yeah, like work in the private sector and with the working man in the past and then represents them.....oh, wait.
1
Bernie, a career politician with zero work experience, talk about these problems but his solution is always more government. It is more federal government that is creating these problems.
1
They are two states we don't have to worry about. Other states can copy them. Indiana has in a lot of ways and they balance the budget every year. They are very strong economically.
1
Individuals that make $9.50/hr or live on average in a household that makes over $47,000/yr. 89% of those individuals live above the poverty level. 95% of parents who earn less than $10,000/yr have a spouse that makes at least $20,000/yr. Point is that this is already happening.
1
What truth? 89% of individuals that earn $9.50/hr or less are above the poverty level. These low wage workers are not poor. It is also very funny how he attacks Walmart when raising the min. wage will hurt small businesses who simply can't afford the higher wages. And his Vermont example is frivolous. Name one big city in Vermont. It has a low population and thus low unemployment. Businesses would love to pay more which is why they do but there is a point when they don't have enough money.
1
All this from a guy who never worked in the private sector. Skip the arithmetic Sanders, 89% of individuals who earn $9.50/hr or less are above the poverty level and the average household income of those individuals is over $47,000/yr. These low wage workers are not poor, this is why you never listen to a career politician, they never paint the whole picture or tell the whole truth.
1
Well a number of people doesn't represent the whole. That is a fact, the average hourly wage is $23/hr.
1
He only cares about himself. What did he do with that million he made off of his book sales that was sold in Walmart? Why does he need three homes?
1
The problem with Bernie Sanders is that he has very little experience in the private sector. He is a great politician to keep getting elected but he is terrible at progressing our country. If he had actual experience in the private sector he will know how bad some of his policies are and that includes raising the min. wage.
1
Sanders is worse. A guy who has never worked outside of politics passing laws that affect businesses and the economy is about as dangerous and crazy as it gets.
1
95% of parents who make less than $10,000/yr have a spouse who makes at least $20,000/yr. The 5% need to work harder. If you can't raise a kid then don't have one or give it up for adoption. Sorry the truth hurts.
1
No, I am advocating people making sacrifices and working hard to move up. Like a businessman pulls out a loan to invest in a company to eventually make profit, everyone has to make sacrifices. Raising the min .wage will prevent people from that in that they can't get part time jobs to compete or unskilled workers can't get jobs in general.
1
The communist needs to go away.
