According to Bernie everything is a major concern in our country. His constant exaggeration makes him sound very childish. But considering how his supporters are nothing but children it makes sense.

+Kban13 You have no idea what you are fighting for. Bernie will just compound our problems.

+Kban13 Easy, the $15/hr min. wage will raise prices and kill jobs. The money is simply not there. Bernie loves to attack Walmart. If you were to take the top 6 board members and spread their salaries evenly across the 525,000 lowest paid workers of Walmart they will earn an extra $147/yr. That is not $15/hr unless they work only 10 hours.

+Kban13 The money is not there, it is called math. Also a higher min. wage has led to less jobs for those with low skills and higher prices. But in the end the money is not there. A problem with Bernie, and you is that you incorrectly compare wealth to income. Wealth does not equal income. So you want to divide the wealth (again not income) to all the employees? To do that you literally will have to give the employees parts of walmart. I mean the building and the land it sits on. Again not money because wealth does not equal income. On Costco, Costco is a completely different company. One, it is open only during set hours as opposed to 24 hours a day. Two, it has far fewer businesses. Three, it sells items in bulk. Even with a higher wage it hires far less employees. Where is the complaint on that? Why doesn't Costco hire more? Or why don't they pay more? Google pays their employees very well, why doesn't Costco? The Costco comparison does not work. Having people who are on welfare is a problem, we solve that buy taking measures that creates jobs and lower prices.

+Kban13 There is proof. Just look at profit margins, they are very thin. Plus you really need to learn what money is. Money is not some finite resource.
1
+Kban13 That is not true. If all it took was at 1.6% increase than why doesn't Walmart just raise prices to begin with and collect that much more in profits? In reality what will happen is that Walmart will cut hours and workers. Enjoy longer wait times at checkouts. Plus people won't have more disposable income.

+Kban13 They why doesn't Walmart just raise prices already and be the greedy people they are and collect that much more in profits? Yes there is a lot of evidence in the higher min. wage increasing unemployment. If not then why not $50/hr?

+Kban13 Why don't businesses just raise their prices? Pleas explain to me. If they can raise prices and not lose any customers as you say, then why don't they do it already? You haven't shown me anything, you just said something. I counter and you haven't given me a reason. Australia has higher cost of living than the US. If you include PPP Australia's min. wage is around $11/hr. You want an example? Look at teenage unemployment. It goes up every time the min. wage goes up.
