If a company overcharges you then go to another one. If you are not getting paid enough then sell your skill to another company or develop a skill to get paid more. That is the power we have as consumers. And the term "living wage" doesn't exist so stop using it.

You don't quit your current job. What you do is keep looking for better jobs.

The problem right now it too much federal government. Corporation can't do anything dangerous if they don't have the federal government bailing them out. All they can do is offer you a job or a product. If their product is too expensive or poor they will go out of business. If they pay too little or don't treat employees well then they go out of business. The problem no is that the government has grown in power to create laws to benefit them.

Texas has one of the strongest economy in the US. It was 2nd in GDP growth where ND was first.

Businesses do pay more but there is a point where they can't afford to pay more. As a business you try your best to give out an affordable reliable product. You have that challenge of paying a decent wage but also keeping the price of goods down. One way we can help keep the price of goods down and increase wages is make the cost of doing business less. If you reduce regulations and taxes then that will help. If you force businesses to pay higher wages then they just won't hire.

Businesses won't hire if a worker is too expensive. They will find other way to do business much like self checkouts at walmart. It is the same that you won't buy a product if it is too expensive, you will find something else. And what is the "living wage?" What is the cost of living? My cost of living is less than a single mom of two but is higher then a guy who lives with three roommates and doesn't own a car. It is very subjective and can't be determine.

And that is a problem, we need to find a way to create jobs and scaring off businesses isn't the way. And what is a "living wage?" It is way to subjective to define. My living wage is cheap being a healthy single male compared to a woman with two kids. But it is more expensive compared to a healthy single male with roommates and no car. I need my car to get to work, others don't. What about healthy food? Or time to exercise? Without then you have increase health cost. Subjective for living wage.

......They simply can't afford to. He doesn't know this because he has never worked in the private sector, ever. If every business was set on paying everyone as little as possible then how come 5-6% of workers earn the min. wage or less where the rest make more? If his claim was true then that number will be extremely high. It is because he has no clue what he is talking about. Businesses would love to pay more but can't. Sanders is a radical that has no clue what he is talking about.

Giving their workers a higher wage will be a poor investment and they won't have billions of dollars. That is a fact. They have that money due to smart investments.

Sanders have never worked in the private sector. He is a career politicians and from the policies he supports it shows.

Ok, one, student loans. He recently went against raising the interest rates of student loans and he submitted a number of stories of people struggling on student loans. He didn't submit a story like mine or many of my colleagues or former teachers who pulled out student loans, got jobs and are doing well and paid them off. He was a radical on that subject. Another, the min. wage. 89% of individuals who earn $9.50/hr or less are not poor. Businesses don't pay a higher wage because of one reason..

Plus, the average hourly wage is $23/hr. If corporations were so set on paying everyone the bare minimum then the average wage will be closer to $8/hr but it isn't.

They are two states we don't have to worry about. Other states can copy them. Indiana has in a lot of ways and they balance the budget every year. They are very strong economically.

Well a number of people doesn't represent the whole. That is a fact, the average hourly wage is $23/hr.
