  2. +Jen Bailey You can't tie it to productivity because not every job has become more productive. Productivity has increased due to increases in technology. Those that invested in it or created it have seen a wage increase. It is called Skilled Biased Technological Change. With increase technology goods and services do get better and do drop in price. The average hourly earnings is around $24/hr. So earnings have been keeping up with productivity. I have seen Robert Reich reasons. To start, he is not an economist, he is a lawyer. Next, he reasoning is flawed and never gets into detail why $15/hr. It begs the question why not $50/hr?
