  2. What causes inflation? Labor costing more. Increasing the min. wage will lead to higher prices and less jobs. In a healthy economy inflation should essentially not exist. In an economy that is messed with by politicians who have nothing to gain or lose in how well the economy is doing, the economy will not grow properly if at all.

  4. Why not $100/hr? Why support such a low min. wage? Also, Walmart supported a min. wage increase at one point knowing it will hurt smaller competitors.

  5. A $15/hr min. wage will kill jobs and increase poverty in low income areas. The harsh reality is that nothing good comes from the min. wage. When broken down there is not one single good reason to even have a min. wage. People supporting this are literally shooting themselves in the foot, except for politicians who support it to gain votes.

When you perturb the economy like this with a min. wage then automation will happen quickly hurting the economy, especially for those with a low income. It is the same with businesses leaving to other countries. Those trade deals that Bernie hates so much have a lot of benefits. Those factory jobs are not necessary in a developed country like the US because we should push more people to take in higher skilled jobs. But add in high taxes and regulations the businesses leave fast creating the problems we have now where the middle class gets screwed. In short, federal government involvement like this causes problems.
