He hates progress because he wants to hold onto archaic jobs and don't support pushing people to take on higher skilled jobs that generate more wealth. Bernie would have been against the invention of the tractor in the 1800s because it killed jobs.

  2. +cynopt They are developing nations. We were developing once which is why we had jobs like that. We are not anymore. Those jobs are archaic. Why hold onto them if they can go elsewhere and benefit other countries? Also, if you want those jobs to stay in the US longer (they will eventually leave no matter what), then you need to lower regulations and simplify taxes. The phrase "living wage" to me displays a high level of ignorance. Minimum wage laws enforce how much is paid per hour, not per week. If someone is earning $50/hr you will most likely say they are earning a "living wage". But if they are only working 5 hours a week, are they earning a "living income"? To me, a more direct approach to push for people earning enough money to live off of is to push for a "living salary". The pure fact is, though, is that the concept of the min. wage is asinine to begin with. The supporters of it can't fathom the flaws of the min. wage like I just laid out and what they should be pushing for instead. I did but I am also smart enough to realize that min. wage laws are harmful.
