"There are nearly 20 countries that are far more stable and performing better than the US" Based on what? How are they doing better and why? And list everything.

  4. Plebeian, those rights for women and blacks gave people power over the government. Allowing the government to run our healthcare system gives them power over them. The Constitution was limitations on the government.

  9. Scott, around 70% of fire fighters are volunteer. Also, you don't have to sign up to be a fire fighter and no one in government is forcing you to become one. Along with that the fire department is ran and funded by the local government, and in some places it is private. Also, there are several rights that are not produced by people. You have a right to bear arms but the government does not give you a gun.

" Walmart employees should be getting paid fair wages " According to the market they are. Why doesn't Bernie complain about Hy Vee or Raley's? They are retail that pay similar wages. Instead he complains about the Walton family. Apparently it is OK for him to do what he wants with his success, in this case own three homes. But when the Walton family run a business and create jobs, that is bad . I see a ton of hypocrisy there. He is telling the Walton family how to manage their finances, but it is OK for Bernie to own three homes which benefits nobody but himself.
