@SwitchingRooskies , the GND is a mess where she has no explanation how it will work. It wants to end all planes, so how do we get over seas? Also, going to high speed rails will increasing shipping time across the nation by at least twice to what it is. Fact is that AOC is a hack that is pushing communism. She is also a hypocrite. She can take a train from NY to DC in 2 hours but decides to fly instead.

@davidschlageter5962 , it will most likely cost more than that. When you start factoring in increases in demand and trying to change old buildings that require more work than projected, it will cost a ton. In the building I am working at they did work in my lab and said it will be done in 6 hours. While working a lot of the piping was so old that it ended up taking more time. You can't predict things like that accurately. Also, while working people like me can't produce. So you halt production in society to build a building. That cost more in two ways.

@mynameispremo ,AOC is dangerous. She pushes radical ideas and when opposed she just calls the other side stupid. Also, her take on the electoral college shows how of touch she is. She is shown driving down rural America making statements such as "look at how many "voters" there are". Yep, that is sure to get people in rural America on your side. She has never left NY, and as a Congress woman she does not challenge herself. She goes on stage speaking to the choir but does not try to debate other people who are knowledgeable.

@emilyscloset2648 , it literally says banning planes. Who is not calling for innovations? The issue is that it takes time to create the technology, you can't force it. I read the bill, it is short as it has no actual details. It calls for restructuring our buildings to be carbon neutral. That is impossible without completely tearing them down and rebuilding them. It cars for going to 100% electric cars. That is impossible in rural areas at this point in time. Besides, the whole "12 years to act" is over blown and has been criticized by Prof. Mike Hulme and Prof. Myles Allen, the latter who is one of the lead authors of that IPCC report. In short, AOC is pushing for a radical agenda off of anti-science ideas.
