This seems like a reach. Kyle is at Alex Jones level of conspiracy on this one.

Michio, you said it correct. Do I agree with what this company did? No. However, it is a reach to say that paying a member of Trump's lawyer team influenced policy. This was similar to the Michael Moore conspiracy about Bush winning Florida.

Saying "access Trump" does not mean they paid to change policy. They wanted Trump's time. If they paid Trump to change policy that would be completely different. However, they worked with a member of Trump's team to speak to Trump. This is normal. Maybe it influenced policy, maybe not. You have no evidence for that. Until then you cannot call this bribery or corruption.

I don't deny that corporations try to use money to influence policies. In this case noting was illegal. Giving a lawyer a job is not illegal. Is it shady that he worked for Trump? Yes. But this happens in politics all the time. Did this influence policy? Maybe, but to me it is a huge stretch. This company paid someone on Trump's law team. This lawyer has a high paying job already so it wasn't like that job was doing him a favor. Why should Trump care if Cohen signed that contract, he has other lawyers and is paying Cohen to begin with. I really see little that influences policies here. If the company paid Trump after hiring Cohen then you have something. But for now I see a huge reach.

This is not bribery. He was hired by the company. There isn't any favors being handed out.
