It isn't he praised single payer, just because single payer supposedly works in other countries (it is debatable) doesn't mean it will work in the US. We are a completely society as a whole. This is a government that can't even create a website, but we want them to run our healthcare? Also, there are problems with single payer. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. Why can't we work on getting something better? That is the other issue here. We are basically settling when we go to single payer. That is actually a problem with socialist system, it is settling. Like lowering inequality, we can create that by lowering the people at the top, but that isn't a sound solution. Why can't we be different and push for something better? That is why I always felt that liberals are not progressive even though they call themselves such.
