  2. Sure, but think of the alternative. Someone is living in an apartment, causing some form of damage to it (not on purpose, just wear and tear), and it not paying. The landlord is losing out now.

Also, you have the issue of renter's insurance as well. How many here can afford it? If not the landlord's insurance goes up. Landlords do not make that much money. My dad was one, it was just a side project for him. Same with my uncle.

  4.  George Arndt  they own homes of people who take out a mortgage. You can still own a mortgage on a rental and still be a landlord. My dad was.

  13. Businesses were shut down and people lost their jobs. You may say "give them money", that means nothing if there are no businesses open. And you come out in the end with inflation. This is nothing more than the democrats making lives miserable to try to beat Trump.

  14. @Huh ? how so? I see little evidence that lockdowns would prevent this. Also, Trump cannot force states to lock down as that will be federal overreach. Every state is experiencing this virus differently.

  20.  Kylem  because it is up to the states. Also, why do democrats keep businesses shut down to where people cannot get jobs? Someone in NJ is trying to open his gym but is being stopped. At some point you have to reopen the economy. Along with that, prolonging evictions places the landlord in a bad situation where they will have to raise rent on others to make up the difference. I have a feeling that is going to happen to me real soon as I am one person who can pay.
