You are missing the point here. Knowing what weapons they have gives us an advantage as we know the fire power they possess. The more you know your enemy the better.

@deliriousfishsticks4495 , they are going to kill anyway, that is the point. If you just let them be you don't know what they have in terms of fire power. Here you know what they have.
2
C W , I also like how you just mock me but have no actual argument.
2
C W , well considering how you are not an adult why should I take your argument seriously?
2
C W , when you have more information on the bad guy than you have an advantage. The bad guy is going to commit crime, that is a given. When you know more information on them then you can stop them easier. That is the point. Compare it to the Revolutionary war. Major reasons why the Colonies won was because 1. They had hunting rifles where the British was trained to take on different guns 2. They knew the land where the British didn't 3. They did Guerilla warfare where the British was not expecting that Essentially the lack of information and training harmed the British. Now look at the Vietnam war, the reason why the US struggled was because 1. The US opponent knew the land 2. The US opponent did Guerilla warfare Now there were other factors at play in both wars, but those factors contributed to the loss. Lack of knowledge of the abilities of their opponents harmed them. When you know what your opponents are capable of then you have a better chance. Again, why don't you actually form a coherent, intelligent argument instead of mocking me. But considering how you admitted earlier you are not even an adult but a child I can't expect much.

@bamwesty8158 , how do you know what they obtain is inferior to what we give them? What do you base that off of? That is the point. You don't know. You try to create a situation where you have more knowledge. Now you know what they have. Also, you can give them something that is inferior to what we have. You are saying we are upgrading their fire power, what do you base that off of? Nothing. That is the point. Now we know their fire power. You, like everyone else, call me stupid as opposed to actually critically thinking about the issue.

Terry Tater 1. Uh, there was more than single shot powder guns at that time. Despite that, hunting rifles at that time were more fit for the terrain and longer shooting. The British had a guns that were designed to carry easier. Yes, both sides had rifles, the Colonists has rifles better suited for the warfare at play 2. Yes, by people who served in the British army. That was the point. When they did open field tactics they lost. The British knew how to attack that because they trained those people in how to do that warfare. That completely supports my point. When the Colonists did Guerrilla style warfare the British struggled 3. We knew the land 4. And those they trained they beat. That is the point. They did not arm all of the Colonists. So what is your point?

Terry Tater , there was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crW2W6nmLDs Learn some gun history bud.

C W , I couldn't care less about grammatical errors, I look at substance. You admitted you are not an adult. So that is on you. How did I move the goalposts? Explain that. We do both with other nations in giving them weapons and training them. As for killing those who train them, you can pull that with almost anything. What prevents people in the army from going Private Pyle on them? You are really grasping for straws here. I can see why you just mock me and use profanity, you are a child that can't form an intelligent argument.
2
They are always going to look to kill people. In this case we know the fire power they possess thus we can attack them better.
1
calistorich , happens more often than you think. One reason why we won the revolutionary war was because we attacked them differently than the British was used to. They did not know how we will attack. The more we know the better advantage we have.
1
calistorich , I also like how you just mock me but have no actual argument. This is one reason why we train other nations' armies. In doing so we will know their strategy if they attack us.
1
This is not really a bad thing. We know what weapons they have thus it makes strategy against them that much easier. The more you know your enemy the better chances you have.
1
Ch33to Sesh , they are going to kill people anyway. Might as well know the abilities so you can stop them easier.
1
Justin Griffith , because they are going to kill anyway. With this you know what their abilities are.

C W , there is an argument to be made there. I felt that we should have gang members trade their Uzi for a sniper rifle to stop innocent bystanders. Thanks for agreeing with me.
1
Terry Tater , there is an argument to be made there. If we train them than we will know their strategy. We actually do this with other nations' armies for that reason. Look at the Revolutionary war. The british, the strongest army, arguably, at the time, had a hard time fighting against us. Why? Here are some reasons 1. The colonies had hunting rifles where the british did not know the actual fire power they had 2. The british had the open field style of battle where the colonies had a guerilla tactic. 3. The colonists knew the lay of the land better It was the lack of information that caused the British army trouble. Similar to why we lost the Vietnam war. We did not know the land well and our opponent was fighting Guerrilla warfare. Were there other factors at play? Yes, but those factors I listed were a cause as well. The more you know your enemy the better off you are.
1
Justin Griffith , they are our enemy to begin with. They are going to kill and attack. That is what you don't seem to get. Since they are going to be a threat to us we should know more about them. One strategy is giving them weapons so we know what fire power they have. If we don't than they will obtain weapons elsewhere. When they do that we don't know what they have making any attack on them more challenging.
