  5. AP classes are a waste anyway.  All you are doing is studying to take a test.  You don't learn anything. If you have kids do them a favor and don't put them in an AP course, put them in an honors course. The problem with history is that you can only repeat facts so many times. Students who are smart enough to take AP should be looking into the philosophical side of history. Anyone can recite facts, what is done beyond that shows true intelligence. There are several things that point to America being the best, and they are facts. One can get into a discussion if that is really the case, but there are facts that support that stance.

  6. Blood Lust In a lot of cases yes. Kyle is doing it here by being radical on the opposite end. He wants to teach "facts" when one can learn facts in history and use the to support how the US is great. Kyle wants them to teach what he claims are "facts". Learning history is more of a "what if" subject than a factual subject. Yes you can learn certain things but you end up asking questions as in "what if this happened instead" or "why did this happen" or "was this happening actually the best thing to do" and so on.
