Considering his supporters don't understand economics it is no surprise that he has had a large donation. Also, I like how he only pays his interns $12/hr but pushes for a $15/hr min. wage. Way to lead by example Bernie.

+Rafael Toichoa No, Bernie wants a min. wage of $15/hr but only pays his interns $12/hr. He has no problem wanting to force others to pay more, but through a loop hole he can pay less. Also, if you include PPP Canada's min. age is around $8/hr. BTW, I am a PhD candidate in physical chemistry and have a math minor. I would say my math skills are pretty strong.

+Rafael Toichoa No, the simple fact is that he hires workers but pays them "starvation wages" as he puts it. He has no problem wanting to force businesses to pay $15/hr, but he does not have to do it. Nancy Pelosi was called on on the same thing. " interns don't need to b paid anything. U take internships for experience, " Like you take job for experience. If you have zero work experience you have little leverage to sell yourself so you work for a lower wages. But raising the min. wage means you can't get a job. The first job I got was for $5.15/hr. It doesn't matter if interns could legally be paid zero dollars, the fact is that Bernie hires workers at pays them less than what he wants other employers to pay their workers. He is also selective in who he hires, he only hires those with a degree or pursuing a degree. And he does not offer housing. Also, if you include purchasing power parity (PPP, cost of living), the min. wage in Canada is around $8/hr. You really need to learn to beyond the surface.

+My Unself One, Paul Krugman is a partisan hack. Another, even Paul Krugman is against the min. wage. Joseph Stiglitz has been called out himself in several occasions. "not to mention the hundreds (if not thousands by now) of professors of economy that support him explicitly." Not true It isn't hard to take Bernie's policies and break them down. Give me any one of his policies and I can break it down to show it simply wont' work.

+My Unself The "mythbuster" source is from the government that currently has an administration that supports raising the min. wage. Also, it does not give one citations. So with that it has no credibility. On you second source, there are scientist that don't believe in climate change......so what is your point? There are idiots for economist? I can easily break it down how they are wrong. Them tying the min. wage to inflation is wrong in itself. If you say that the min. wage should go up with inflation then you are saying everything goes up in prices. So why aren't cell phones $2000? A brick phone from the 80s, when adjusted for inflation cost around $2000. Now smart phones, with more computing power then what put a man on the moon, cost around $100 (in some cases they are given away). So right away it is clear to see that tying the min. wage to inflation is something you can't do. It does not take much understanding in economics to see that.
