Wealth did trickle down. A few things Kyle fails at here. First, he confuses wealth with income which immediately shows his economic illiteracy here. Next, our of the Forbes 400 in 1982, only 36 remain. Thus there are 464 new members. Now you may talk about inheritance, and I will give you that. But still, the 400 riches in 1982 are different than now.
Next, to say that the top 1% have more wealth than the bottom whatever is deceptive. Many, including me, have negative wealth which is good. We, us a nation, allows others to regress in total wealth to succeed. I have negative wealth because of college loans. A person with no assets and only $10 has more wealth than 25% of the nation.
This is not to say everything is great, but to paint it as bad as Kyle does is being intellectually dishonest.
