  2. Wealth did trickle down. A few things Kyle fails at here. First, he confuses wealth with income which immediately shows his economic illiteracy here. Next, our of the Forbes 400 in 1982, only 36 remain. Thus there are 464 new members. Now you may talk about inheritance, and I will give you that. But still, the 400 riches in 1982 are different than now. Next, to say that the top 1% have more wealth than the bottom whatever is deceptive. Many, including me, have negative wealth which is good. We, us a nation, allows others to regress in total wealth to succeed. I have negative wealth because of college loans. A person with no assets and only $10 has more wealth than 25% of the nation. This is not to say everything is great, but to paint it as bad as Kyle does is being intellectually dishonest.

  3. Shadow X, no one has $10 billion. People that supposedly do have it in stocks in their company. That is good because if the company tanks they tank.

  4. Shadow X, those rich individuals you complain about are using their "power" to better society. You are typing on a computer that didn't exist 20 years ago. You are on a high speed internet connection where 20 years ago we had dial up. They are rich because they provided goods and services people wanted to make their lives better. I personally don't care if someone is really rich, I can watch HD porn on my smart phone.

We are in that position because someone was willing to put in the time, effort and resources to develop these technologies. With you ideas you just want to survive with no progress. To give an example with social security the retirement age has always been 65 even though 80 years later our life expectancy is much higher. It is a government program that has not progressed with the changing times. But again, we are so advanced that I, who earn $23,000 a year, can watch HD porn on my smart phone that has more computing power than what put a man on the moon. Stop being greedy.

  10. Shadow x, greed drives people to success. I am greedy myself. I want to feel good. However, with interaction I have to act in a way that is moral in our society. I can't rob a bank as that is not moral. I can't abuse the people around me as I have to interact with them and look towards them for help. I bought my co-worker lunch the other day because they helped me out. Being greedy is not bad as you are pushing for success. You are greedy yourself, problem is that you are abusive in it. You want to use government force to take from those with more money than you. You are offering them nothing in return thus those who are rich will give you nothing if you take from them.

  12. Daniel, there is a big difference between wealth and income. You can put me in the top 1% in wealth by giving me the Hope Diamond, but in income I will be near the bottom in the US.

  13. Daniel, yes they have a huge income. But when you focus on that you find out that the top 10% earned only 40% of the nation's income. Now is that really bad? Or do you want completely equality? People point to wealth because it gives a larger disparity. On paper a homeless guy with no debt has more wealth than me as I have negative wealth. Now who is better off? Stop listening to talking points.
