I know. Less taxes and regulations means jobs won't leave. Imagine that.

Here is your choice. Raise taxes and regulations a businesses either 1. leave 2. stay and pass the cost on to the consumer So either workers get screwed or the consumer gets screwed. Take your pick if you want those high taxes and regulations.

arturo92376 Not really. This it the company's money. The fact is that you can raise taxes and regulations and either have 1. jobs leave 2. have the price of the products go up Take your pick. Either way the company is not going to pay.

" them tax breaks, give them money" Not comparable. That is their money. They get to keep it. "I don't understand why people always blame corporations leaving on taxes and regulations. We became a developed nation, which means we have regulations, and we have always had taxes.(hint: they used to be many times higher, nearing 90% for the wealthy)" One, no one paid that high rate. Two, the federal income tax used to be unconstitutional until 1913, so we never use to have taxes at all. Also, being developed does not mean having taxes and regulations. It means having technology and wealth. While I agree certain jobs will disappear and become archaic to us, we have to allow that process to happen gradually. With high taxes and regulations they leave quickly hurting the middle class. "The reason companies are sending work over seas is mostly because of how much cheaper it is to hire someone in a developing nation than someone in a developed nation. Why hire phone operators in America when you can have some Indian guy do the same job for 1/10th the price? Why pay an American 30 dollars an hour to code when you can hire 100 Chinese to do the same jobs for the same price?" There are advantages and disadvantages for keeping jobs here. When you minimize the disadvantages a company will stay longer. A company will pay a slightly higher wage to stay here because there are advantages to hiring US citizens.

"Sigh, it is comparable because they are incentives to help companies out." Giving them money is begging them to stay. Giving them a tax break is not attacking them or chasing them away. There is a difference. "which is that the government is printing money or eliminating a source of revenue to help corporations." How are they limiting a source of revenue? Some quick math It was a $7 million tax break. Now you have 1000 employees making $50,000 a year taxed at 25%, that is $12.5 million in tax revenue. And that is from the federal income tax. That does not include payroll taxes, sales tax, property taxes, and local spending.
