  1. Pipelines are safer than shipping it by truck. Also, shipping it by truck requires more oil. Pipelines are the best way to transport oil. Also, the whole climate change fear tactic is pathetic. Climate change has been happening for over 4 billion years. We can't predict the results of whether or not it is even bad and how much is man playing a role.

  2. China also cornered the market in Lanthanides because it is too expensive in the US to mine them due to regulations. How ironic is that? Environmental regulations are a barrier to alternative energy.
