@soapboxx9664 true. She also comes from a very blue district. She was more energetic than the incumbent in 2018 and thus energized people to vote for her. But that is about it. On policy she isn't too bright.
3
She isn't that bright. It is a legit question. Where is the money going to come from? We can't keep the economy shut down because there comes a point that productivity becomes so low and behind no amount of stimulus could save it. Also, you have psychological factors as well involved.
2
@thehumanity0 that money was voted on bipartisan measures. Also, 1/4 o it went to corporations. More money went to individuals. Also, the first act was for only $2 trillion. Tuition free college will cost a lot as universities will jack up prices and M4A will not save money unless quality and access drops.
2
@laserramon9926 election fraud and changing of the rules at the last minute. Besides, do you really consider a Biden victory "winning" on your side?
2
@thehumanity0 the Federal Reserve does not take orders from the federal government. And the cares act was for $2 trillion

Michael Whyte just giving money away does not increase supply. Paying people to stay at home causes shortages in the economy. What you are literally doing is where economists go on the extreme case. Say 60% of the population stays home. At that point all the goods and services are what the 40% produce. Along with that these shut downs is destroying the economy to such a degree that it will take years to recover where in some areas it won't recover at all.
1
Michael Whyte define a "non essential worker". And what about small companies? I bet they feel their business is essential. And how much is enough? People across the board have different sets of bills. You say not buying a car, I have a car payment. So where does that places me? And no, I doubt many will proudly look to help on that degree.
1
Michael Whyte how often is a government program temporary? And life turning back to normal? When? And will it be normal? Many people have essentially lost a year of their lives and for what? Over a virus people do not even know they become infected with? A lot of the economy is damaged for years, and most likely forever. That does not include the psychological damage that was done.

@Zarastro54 there are a lot of irregularities such as changing laws last minute without the use of the legislative branch in states, large amount of mail in ballots which are not secured. And the case has not gone to the SC yet which, if fought hard enough, can. Think how long it investigate Russigate. Also, why not have an investigation? We did in Russiagate and with Brett Kavanaugh.
1
@Zarastro54 there is evidence that mail in ballots are insecure. That is why so many have been rejected in the past. They are not personalized like absentee ballots are. Also, it is ironic we had so many this year. Now you may say "the virus", ok but then why after Biden was declared the victor so many Biden supporters celebrated in large crowds, some who were not wearing masks? "Blame republicans for refusing to pass laws to allow mail in ballots to be counted before Election Day for the “spikes” in Pennsylvania and the like. Florida didn’t have this problem precisely BECAUSE they allowed early counting, and Trump WON that state." Wonder why that worked out? Ballots appeared out of nowhere. Also, the PA supreme court changed the law to allow late ballots to come it as if it is really that hard to get your ballot in on time. What evidence was there for Russiagate? Also, again, this takes time. If it gets sent to the supreme court we will see. Overall, with everything that went on this year this is not a normal election and should be investigated.
1
@Zarastro54 I received two mail in ballots. I could have voted at least twice as my state does not check IDs. And how many voted in PA on voting day while also mailing in a ballot? Now consider with the high level of ballots and lack of resources how hard it is to find if someone did that? As for post mark before election day, lame excuse. Get your ballot in sooner or vote in person. And how do you know the fake ballots are not enough? Again, this year was different. That along with how corrupt democrats are and investigation is needed. As for Russiagate an investigation was done and nothing was found. So here, let us have an investigation. And again, these cases take time to go up to the higher courts. Again, how long did Russiagate take? And you claim I lack understanding how elections work? If you are not concerned why not support an investigation? That should be the apolitical stance during these weird times.
1
@Zarastro54 would have the system caught it? And I can just claim someone filled it out for me. And again, this election was so unique during these weird times. The democrats have shown they will go at great lengths to try to win. Again, they pushed impeachment with no evidence. They called Kavanaugh a rapist. Pelosi ripped up the state of the union address. These corrupt, career politicians on the left and the media did everything they can to go after Trump. It was sickening and divisive. You are asking me to prove something when again, I am letting the process play out which I am saying should be an apolitical issue. Or do you feel that election fraud does not exist? Or do you deny democrats and the media attacking Trump every step of the way? Judges cannot legislate from the bench. Also, mail in the ballots on time. I mail in my rent on time. It isn't that difficult. Or howw about you vote in person. And it isn't about throwing them out but about how many laws were not being followed and along party lines they were changed. The PA ruled 5-2 to allow late ballots right down party lines. They changed the law which is unconstitutional. 34 people may have got indicted, but Trump was not one of them. Again, there is no evidence of Russia collusion in the 2016 election and how there is no evidence of Kavanaugh being a rapist. But those situations were investigated. Why not this election? Again, this should be an apolitical stance. If after an investigation Biden is still president I am fine with that. I just want transparency in our system.

The issues are one, a lot in the relief bill by democrats have nothing to do with stimulus. Next, it is a good question, where will the money come from? We can only tell people to stay lock down for so long until the economy is going to be so ruined that even after the virus we will be screwed for years.
1
No it won't.
1
Derek Hitt that, or keep federal taxes low and push for more local programs so that people have more of a voice on how their tax money is spent, if they even want high local taxes to begin with.
1
@custos3249 fire departments are ran locally. Some are private and 70% of fire fighters are volunteer. As for life expectancy, there are many factors there. To start, the US is within reasonable range of those nation. Next, you have to factor in issues like culture and life style. The US has higher obesity rates compared to those nations due our poor diet.
1
Johnny Danger AOC also said that unemployment is low because people are working two jobs. She also never explains how to pay for any of the programs she supports. Of the cares act only 1/4 went to corporations. More money went to individuals.
1
How so? States with the highest deaths per capita are ran by democrat governors.
1
@zacheryeckard3051 FL has a higher population density than MI but lower deaths. FL has a slightly lower population density than NY but much lower deaths. Maybe stop talking about things you don't understand.
1
@yungtraplord1077 moving the goal posts I see. So why not have individual cities create restrictive measures as opposed to the whole state?
1
@yungtraplord1077 ok, so with that said you would agree locking down is not wise as it forces people to confine in a small space?
1
@yungtraplord1077 as a federal judge in PA said, shutting down the local hair salon does not end the demand for hair supply. More people would just go to Target or CVS creating bigger crowds there.
1
@zacheryeckard3051 ok, so one, has about you just place restrictions on just those cities as opposed to the entire state? And two, do you not see an issue of these restrictions? Shutting down small businesses means more will simply have to shop at larger businesses like Walmart and Target leading to bigger crowds there. And what about MI vs FL?
1
@yungtraplord1077 you kind of want that disguising dude next to you, it builds up your immune system. Also, if all it took were masks then why not reopen? At my university they say we have to wear masks even when we are outdoors when no one is around. Over 90% of the classes were offered remotely this semester. No one is on campus but they make us wear masks. That makes zero sense. To me the whole mask thing is just a reminder to us that the government, at a drop of a hat, can strip away our rights.

@avinashreji60 give what up? How am I wrong? Cuomo sent infected patients in nursing home when there were temporary beds available elsewhere. And now he is writing a book on his "success".
