But to say they were "anti-christianity" is to me, false. They may not have practice, but they supported many ideas morally. David Holmes wrote an entire book on it, but again, that issue is debatable.

Again, this issue is debatable. It isn't to say the US is a Christian nation but was founding on many Christian ideas. And keeping government and religion separate is a part of that. Our laws are not based on religion but our morals and rights arguably are.

  9. Austin, it is debatable and people who dismiss Shapiro so easily to me being ignorant on the issue. One can argue that the idea of separating religion and the state is based on Christian values to allow people to practice religion freely. To me, I do not take a hard stance on this as many scholars disagree on this stance. And it isn't like we can ask the founding fathers either.

I read that article and it gives nothing to show that Jeff Sessions was a racist. As for the rent incident, that involved workers at that particular housing complex. Trump was not aware until it was brought to his attention. This is common for someone who runs multiple businesses. They don't micromanage everything. After it was brought to his attention he went proceed to take actions so he won't lose money which is what business owners do. People against him will try to suck him for every dime. He will push to save money even though punishment of some sort is going to happen. You are criticizing Trump for something he was not directly involved with there. I am still waiting for examples in how Trump is a bigot.

  26. Claire McDaniel, that letter is pointless as it does not lay out any facts or gives an argument. To start, one has to understand what an attorney general does. They do not write laws, they are simply the lawyer of the district they represent. When legal actions is taken they represent the government. Again, they do not write laws. As for the voter fraud case, he felt he had a case on hand so he went after 14 ballots, that's it, 14. He never done it before and never done it since. What was the detail of the case? I do not know. But he felt he had a case and went with it, and he was going by the letter of the law. He lost, that happens. But people trying to call Jeff Sessions a racist off of one incident are asinine. Again, this is one incident. I see no history of this being common. He went after something he thought he had a case for and lost. Sessions also went after the KKK after they killed a black man. He opposed the KKK in that case. But of course people ignore that.

In the US you apply for a passport, they check on you for any criminal records. You pass you get a passport and swipe it at the country you visit. The country you live in checks on you, not the one you are visiting. Also, we do have exemptions for those who have a college education. The connection with the Klan isn't there. We saw recessions in the 50s, 60s, 70s, etc. It happens as the economy changes, new jobs come and go, people spend differently, etc. How we recover is key. Only two times has the economy took over 5 years to recover from a recession, the 1930s and after the 2007 recession. Those were also the only two times where the federal government tried to "fix" the economy with massive domestic spending. As for Reagan, here is a little fact for you, congress controls the purse. Democrats controlled congress in the 80s.

  31. The established democrats are a mess. In the 90s they were fine and Bill Clinton was fine. In 1994 Clinton and Cain had an actual discussion about healthcare where they used numbers and Clinton showed he understood challenges businesses face. Now we have Hilary hanging out with celebrities and Bernie Sanders being asked questions by a hair salon owner where all Bernie said was "you have to pay for your employee's healthcare" and "other hair companies probably do it". He showed zero compassion and zero understanding of how businesses operate. We need to remove these democrats and put some moderate ones back in, and I DO NOT mean justice democrats.
