This executive order limits the powers of the federal government, especially the executive branch. He is forcing congress to do their job. This is in line with what conservatives want. You want the president to be a king.

He isn't wrong. People have a right to a trial by a jury. If you are called for jury duty and refuse you go to jail. Same logic applies to if you make healthcare a right. If you are going to give a quote you have to explain how he is wrong. I have yet to see anyone explain how Ben Shapiro is wrong here.

"no actually it's spactularly more efficient (~200-300%) in every other post-industrial economy with better outcomes in almost every measurable category" Not true as the differences are minute. For example, if you remove murder and car accidents, things not strongly connected with healthcare, the US is number on in life expectancy. https://www.aei.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/-the-business-of-health_110115929760.pdf " But really, it doesn't matter because nearly 2/3s of the population want it " 80% of Colorado voters voted against it. "I don't know who came up with the "forcing doctors to work" talking point but it's ridiculous. Doctors wouldn't even be government employees... Medicare has to do with the source of payment." It comes down to healthcare being a right. If you make it a right than it, like a jury, requires a service you need to force others to do. If you are just going to have the government pay than have fun with less doctors and many doctors do not take Medicare. " It also prevents 45,000 deaths a year " Not it wont' as that is a small number and those people die for many reasons besides healthcare.

Kyle is an economic illiterate. Healthcare is a good, someone has to provide it. Kyle feels that healthcare resources are infinite. That all the federal government has to do is wave its magic wand and it will appear. This is what happens when you have zero experience in healthcare.

Great. Maybe republicans in congress will do what they were voted in to do, remove Obamacare.

Alex isn't wrong. People raised in the NHS system are used to it just like people raised in the US system. As a whole both countries are advanced and most people are healthy so healthcare is not a big deal for them. It is for the really poor and the really sick. In both cases there are shortcomings such as rationing in the NHS and high cost and bankruptcy in the US. That is mainly because of lack of resources.

Daniel Delos, single payer is not more efficient as it has many shortcomings. What Shapiro is saying isn't wrong. If you make healthcare a "right" than you have to force doctors to work. People have a right to a trial by a jury. If you are called for jury duty and refuse you go to jail. Healthcare will be no different at that point. Also, there are doctor who refuse to use medicare.
