  1. When cops are being told to stand down and not act then someone else has to act. Wheeler is the chief of police in Portland and he is not pushing the cops to take actions. Well, he might now that the rioters are in his neighborhood.

  2.  @sprybug  over $23 million in property damage has occurred and it is rising. That is violent. That ruin people's lives. What if I took what you built up and tore it all down? Also, just because you are peaceful, if you are there when violence is occurring, you are guilty by association. It is on you to leave. Everyone gets "equal punishment" because you cannot differentiate between who is violent and who isn't. So it is on them to leave. How am I a joke? I am telling the truth. If someone is being raped and you just stand there and watch, you are guilty as well.

  4.  @TheHG12  those "protestors" should be arrested for blocking traffic. Having the "right of way" means you walk across the street on a cross walk and a car must stop. Jaywalking is illegal though. If you are just standing on the middle of the street blocking traffic that is illegal.

  7.  @sprybug  you make it sound like it is so easy for cops to differentiate who is violent and who isn't in a mob. It isn't. The second the situation becomes violent in anyway you need to break up the mob. Whether one was violent or not it is one them to leave or be prepared to be hit with tear gas. Consider Wheeler. When he was giving a speech to the mob some people started to try to set a federal building on fire. Wheeler did not leave. So guess what? He was tear gassed as well.
