  1. The simple fact is that a public school teacher isn't worth that much in the market.  In a lot of cases they are overpaid and with inflation at around 1% they continue to get a 5% yearly raise. Money in politics wouldn't be an issue if we pushed for state rights and enforced the strict limitations that are set on the federal government.  Bernie Sanders wants to remove those limitations on the federal government. There is nothing wrong with government as long as we have control over it and government is he servant to the people and not the master.  As you move away from local to state then state to federal, then it becomes increasingly difficult to control government.  Bernie Sanders preaches about federal government doing this and that but his very system would make a government that we can't control and thus we are the servants to the government who is the masters which consists of the rich.

  3. kokofan50 Teachers sign a 180 day contract.  They have full benefits, guaranteed raises,  weekends and holidays off, and are free from having charges pressed beyond any illegal activities.  The federal government's role is to deal with foreign affairs, commerce between states, and enforce the constitution on the states.  If a state is abusing anyone's right then it is up to the federal government to put a stop to that. It is the checks and balance of powers.
