That is the problem with Bernie, he makes up these situations as if the are extreme, but when you step back and look deeper you find out they aren't.   8.  @Hydratank  , the NEJM has the highest impact factor of any peer reviewed journal. I don't have to shill for them, they are well respected in the field. The fact you don't know that shows you have no clue what you are talking about when it comes to studies.

Again, if you don't understand the studies, or the peer reviewed process, or how these overall research system works, then don't comment on it. I bet you never heard of impact factors before related to peer reviewed journals.

  13. It goes both ways. Bernie refuses to understand business owners who, at times, earn a loss but still have to pay employees. Or college students with a debt but work hard to pay it off, etc. Bernie only cares to understand a select few of people.

The problem with work place democracy is lack of leadership. Someone has to be in power to make decisions. Why $20/hr? Why not $100/hr? Also, what method of inflation? CPI, GDP deflator, PCE, Boskin Commission CPI? A weighted average? Let me ask you this, do you know the flaws of inflation to begin with?

  22.  meg50  , they paid little because of their numerous write offs. You know, almost everyone have write offs. I bet you do. I do and I take advantage of them. If you don't want those write offs to exist for Amazon you have to remove all write offs. All or nothing. And again, they pay payroll taxes, state taxes, property taxes, etc. I guarantee you Amazon paid more in taxes than you did. You're are not slipping because you were not that strong to begin with.
