He has a point. What is ironic is that universal healthcare systems, which Kyle so loves, do just this. They let the old die by denying them care because it is cheaper to do so.

Or they got old. People die, sorry if that is new for you. Also, Santa Clause isn't real.

This is the harsh reality in life and the hard decisions to make. What is ironic is that universal healthcare systems in other nations to be efficient do just this, they just let old people die.

@thepolishlatinofromphilly9709 not it isn't.

This happens all the time. Everyone has economic value. Some are worth more than others. Sorry reality is tough.

@transformalizer depends. Antifa I don't take seriously as they claim they are fighting "fascism" while wearing masks and committing acts of violence. What this politician is saying is that we can't shut down the entire economy just to save a few lives. That is true. Take a more simple example of cars and deaths in car accidents. Around 40000 die a year in car accidents. We can make that number zero by capping speed limits to 15 mph. But then the economic will suffer due to limited commute. So instead we feel, as a society, those 40,000 deaths are worth it. That is the reality.

This is reality. Something has to be sacrificed in life. Sorry that far leftists can't handle reality but this is the truth. What is ironic is that nations with universal healthcare systems that far leftists love do just this, they let old people die to save money and resources.

Androva J. it isn't about being sacrificed. It is about opportunity cost. At some point something has to give. For example, around 40,000 die a year in car accidents. We can make that zero by capping speed limits to 15 mph, but now commute time increases greatly. So again, something has to give. This is a part of the law of diminishing returns. Sure doing what we are doing now may save a few old people, but at what cost? Also, your comment on healthcare is ironic. The far left praises universal healthcare systems which do exactly what you are saying, they simply let old people die.

No, this is reality. Everyone has an economic value. You do, I do. Some are worth more than others. These are the difficult issues the far left refuses to discuss which is why they lose so badly, they live in a fantasy world. But the reality is that, in economics, there are costs. Just depends what society values more. Case in point, 40,000 die a year in traffic accidents because we enjoy going 70 mph on the freeway.

@thepolishlatinofromphilly9709 it isn't about a social safety net. Production is down. No amount of money will magically create goods and services. You need actual production.

The guy is not wrong. What is ironic is that Kyle, who supports universal healthcare, does not realize that other nations to have their universal healthcare be efficient is do just this, they let grandma die.
