  2. The whole gay marriage argument displays ignorance on both sides, mainly on the left. We need to establish standards and stick to them. Those standards are 1. marriage is purely a state issue, thus they define what marriage is and decide if they want to recognize marriage at all and how 2. the 14th amendment (and constitution in general) We can't destroy standards just because people's feelings are hurt.
