700 more jobs being created by Ford since they recently decided not to invest in Mexico because Trump was elected. The Trump years are looking better every day.

***** The tea party organized their events by obtaining a license and holding rallies. They were not burning down buildings and vandalizing police vehicles.

ACAY Except they were not promise any.
1
Mr. Anderson - professional catholic monster hunter Yep, they are just a bunch of idiots that was shooting at some food and struck some black gold.
1
Mr. Anderson - professional catholic monster hunter Actually Trump did not promise them anything. The CEO said that Trump is going to push for a good environment for business.
1
Jace Solomon We are already in a trade war.
1
The People Wills It I have been in factories, what's your point? I guess you are a supporter of less jobs?
1
Rob McCune That is creating jobs, plus the CEO said it was because of Trump.
1
Mr. Anderson - professional catholic monster hunter I am not Christian.
1
beanie0112 Yes and no. Ford was going to invest in Mexico to build a new plant. Instead they are going to invest in the US which will create 700 new jobs. So they were originally going to expand in Mexico but they are now going to do it in the US.
1
***** The CEO of Ford said they changed their mind because Trump is pushing to create an environment that is better for business.
1
***** If any party is driven on emotions it is the democrats. Remember who rioted when Trump was elected?
1
***** Ok, please do.
1
Rob McCune Ok, what?

The People Wills It A lot of people do for a high salary. Alaskan ice fisherman get paid well to work a dangerous job. I had a friend who worked on power lines for the power company, was paid over $60,000 a year (a lot of money in my hometown). He worked a very dangerous job. My dad works at a factory that starts at $26/hr with great benefits. It is dangerous with the amount of lead in the air. What factory is going to build in a residential area?
1
The People Wills It You, as a local community should change that. Even at that I doubt it is bad. Stop relying on the federal government for help.
1
***** 700 full time jobs that pay more. Not part time, low wage jobs created under Obama.
1
***** Nope, those 700 people are paying taxes as well. Do some math.
1
***** Funny how I am a doctorate student.
1
The People Wills It What do you want? Do you want jobs? That is what you have to decide as a community. They can move elsewhere as well. A factory is building in my state away from residential areas. It isn't that hard, you just don't want to work to fix it.
1
***** Yes, Trump was a factor as he will create a business friendly environment. A PhD in physical chemistry.
1
***** Uh, not really. They just announced it. Also, Trump was criticizing them.
1
Bullet Craft Ok, so no jobs or poisoned water. Man liberals are dumb.

Daniel Pierik Tax breaks are not punishments. That is allowing them to keep the money that they earned.

1
***** I read it "'We are encouraged by the pro-growth plans that President-elect Trump and the new Congress indicated they will pursue,'" Mark Fields, Ford's chief executive, said at an event on Tuesday." "They did, though, tell Mr. Trump about the change just before the announcement. And on Tuesday, Mr. Fields made clear that Mr. Trump's policies were playing a role in the company's thinking. He added in an interview that the president-elect's emphasis on tax changes and cutting regulations should have an overall positive effect on automakers such as Ford."
1
Daniel Pierik I read it, he pulled out one paragraph out of the entire article. There are several highlighting how Trump's policies are convincing Ford to stay in the US. They even called Trump before they made the announcement. I shows that you don't know how to read.
1
***** Again, that is one paragraph out of many that said it was Trump and his policies that convinced the company to invest in the US. They even called Trump before they made the announcement. If it is only what you said why don't they just say that and move one? Also, that is not called crony capitalism. Cutting taxes and regulations across the board for all companies is not crony capitalism. What would be crony capitalism is if those tax and regulation cuts were only for them, but it isn't. It is for all companies. Trump is not giving Ford any special favors. You really need to learn what crony capitalism is.
1
***** I know what crony capitalism is. The issue here is that you hate Trump so much that you won't give credit to any success he has. Ford came out and credited Trump for pushing for a business friendly environment for the reason why they stayed. If it wasn't because of that, why would they give credit to Trump after Trump spent time criticizing them? Really, Ford could have just stayed and said "we changed our minds". That's it. No mention of Trump. It would have been a big F U to Trump. Instead to gave him credit. Also, crony capitalism is when the government gives special favors to select companies. Trump did not give a tax cut or cut regulations to any particular company. He is doing it across the board. Crony capitalism was the bank bailouts, or when the Obama administration was pumping money into Wall Street. What Trump is pushing for it no crony capitalism. You may not like it, but just because you don't like it doesn't mean it is crony capitalism.
1
***** Also, one of your headlines says they didn't cut a deal with Trump. Ok, so where is the crony capitalism then?
1
***** I read the article. He credited Trump there as well. Trump did not give them special favors, but it was mentioned that with Trump pushing for a business friendly environment that did play a role. Also, you don't think that creating jobs is good for the American workers? I guess you rather have them be on welfare.
1
***** Except, he did. Read the article. What special favors are there?
1
***** I read it, I see them mentioning how Trump winning plays a role.
1
***** " "When we make decisions like this as a company ... first, we do what's right for our business. This makes sense for our business," he said. "And we look at all factors, including what we view as a more positive U.S. manufacturing business environment under President-elect Trump. It's literally a vote of confidence around some of the pro-growth policies that he has been outlining. And that's why we made the decision to invest here in the U.S. and our plant here in Michigan."" From your article.
1
***** They credit Trump
1
***** Funny how the article contradicts itself, and the CEO itself said it did. I guess you rather trust a "high level source".
