Democrats can win if they stop being so radical and show concern for other people. Right now the democrats are too radical and need to become more moderates like Bill Clinton was. Going even farther left and being where Bernie is on the spectrum will kill democrats for over a decade.

Marjorie Diaz, Hillary was not Bill. Bill knew what he was doing and worked to be in the position he was in. Clinton married into it. Now she did work hard in some ways, but in the end she cared about celebrities and her celebrity status. It got to her head. Bill was able to keep a level head and work with others and at least pretended to represent the people. The democrats need to run another candidate like Bill Clinton. Here is an example of him compared to Bernie. In 1994 Herman Cain approached Bill concerning Bill's healthcare bill. Both Clinton and Cain discussed the issue both giving numbers. Clinton also, at least pretended to be concerned about Cain's situation. During the Cruz vs Sanders debate Sanders was approached with a similar question by a small business owner. Sanders' response was basically that business owner has to pay for her workers' healthcare. He did not care about her financial situation, the finances of the company, how the company is ran. All he cared about was forcing a business to run how he feels is fit. It doesn't care that she could not expand her business or such laws would require her to lay off workers or even shut down. With politicians on the left acting like that it is no wonder why people don't support them.

Peregrine, a part of Trump's campaign was how politicians are getting richer while everyone else is working harder. One politician that got richer was Bernie. People are sick of people like him. For years under Obama democrats have been preaching how the US is full of bigots, racists, sexists, homophobes, xenophobes greedy assholes and that we need the government to establish a moral compass on us all. Bernie really ran on that idea. As a result people got sick of that false rhetoric and voted for Trump and republicans.

Tomato Pa, there is no centralized traffic like system. In some places it is timed and in other places there are sensors on the roads. It all depends on the situation. With computers when coding you break down the code into different subroutines so you can edit different parts of the codes when you want making it much easier. So yes, people that do design those things are smart, they are engineers. They don't have a centralized system on them. Tomato Pa, I am sorry but if you can't understand that capitalism is an economic system and democracy is a political system and thus are completely different, then we can't have an intelligent discussion. Microsoft is a company that builds computers. GM builds cars. Cars have computers in them. But that doesn't mean the two companies are the same. Same with capitalism and democracy.

Azerfield, if Bernie had a plan then why didn't he bring it up during the debate against Cruz? The only "plan" I saw was an increase in they payroll tax which is making the assumption that businesses are going to increase wages. It is also ignoring the fact that you will be increasing demand thus the price of healthcare will go up or the quality will go down. Something has to give when we lack supply.

You have the right to life and pursuit of happiness. That means that government can't take those things away from you without due process. It does not mean that government is going to offer you those things because in order to give someone "life" or "happiness" you usually have to take it from someone else. Also, you have the right to a gun, does the government give you one?

What I get from that article is that Bernie is, once again, saying 1. There are poor people 2. thus we need to give away free shit 3. because rich people have too much people People understand what Bernie is all about and he has become predictable. They don't care about him or like him. In fact, they voted for Trump in spite of people like him, career politicians that keep promising a better life that never comes except for the politicians. Remember, Bernie earned around a million dollars off of his book sales and bought a third home recently.

He shames families like the Walton Family and the Koch Brothers who actually created jobs and donated their money to charities. Now what does Bernie do with his wealth? He buys a third home while telling rich people, who create jobs, that they are what's wrong with this country. "Uhhh.... does he have huge mansions? Or does he have one home in DC where he works, one in a city in Vermont, and now a small vacation home in Vermont?" Paul Ryan sleeps in a cot in his DC office. So that is one home Bernie can get rid of. His "small" vacation home is worth $600,000. Look up the median price of a home in Vermont, it is around a 1/3 of that. So while "millions and millions" are working hard just to pay rent, he buys a "small" vacation home that is worth three times as much the median home in Vermont is worth. But don't look at people who pay rent, also look at the fact that Bernie is all fired up about the estates tax being removed because the Walton family, who created jobs with their wealth creation, gets a supposed tax break. Bernie with his inheritance buys a third home that benefits no one but himself. "And you're comparing him to billionaires that are trying to pay less in taxes all while he is content with paying more!?!" Bernie pays little tax. Look at his released tax return. Also, Bernie is paid with tax payers dollars and billionaires make up a very minute portion of society. The vast majority of the people don't care about them. "Yes, there are poor people. How do you expect them to organize their lives? Maybe make it so that they can have health care? Education? Hmmm...." How is Bernie going to provide healthcare and education to those people when we lack resources in those fields? Is he going to motivate people to become doctors and professors? Or his going to motivate people to be poor by promising them free stuff and raising the min. wage? Why work hard taking on the stress of earning a doctorate when you can work a low skilled job an still be promised a 1. "living wage" 2. healthcare 3. education 4. vacation time 5. paternity leave 6. retirement Along with other things. Tell me, what do you do for a living? Do you plan on going to med school or getting a PhD and doing research in the STEM field? It is easy to tell others to give when you refuse to. "Bernie is marching in the streets saying that everyone has the right to a big screen TV!" Never heard him say that once. Plus, it is something I don't desire. "He is saying everyone has the right to see a doctor!" You have that right already. You just can't force doctors to serve you though as they have the right not to be enslaved. "Is that difficult for you to understand?" I understand what he is saying. I am just too smart to fall for it.

A career politician that has never had a productive job in the private sector in his life bought a third home while being paid off of the tax payers' dime. Why does he need a third home? Why not donate the money to Meals on Wheels or something? Oh, that's right. The Walton family has too much money so they should pay, not him.
