  1. You can't consume what you don't produce. You give them money and production does not increase all you have is inflation.

  2.  @roxef  doesn't work that way. You can only produce so much. Take the very simple example of you. Saying at best you can run an 8 minute mile. No matter how much someone will pay you but you will never be able to run a 3 minute mile. Productivity has a max.

  3.  @roxef  in a crisis it is a different situation. Productivity will still be low but it comes down to the mental part of it. Most people cannot see economics beyond their own wallet. This stimulus doing the crisis is just to make people feel at ease. But a UBI will create inflation during normal economic times as productivity has a max simply based on our limitations in technology and how much people can work.
