  2. Does single payer work? In a way yes, as that it does provide healthcare to all. But is it effective? No. To give an analogy, we can create a program that gives everyone a cell phone. Now if those cell phones were brick cell phones with poor reception is that really great and effective? No. But it does its job of providing a cell phone to everyone. Just like single payer provides healthcare, but the quality is low. If you want to improve healthcare than get rid of the payroll tax and allow insurance companies to compete over state lines. Companies compete over state lines all the time and guess what, people still have access to several services. What Kyle did here was show his ignorance of the market.

  3. People need to read the book entitled The Business of Health by prof. Robert Oshfeldt and prof. John Schneider. It gives a great comparison of healthcare systems across the world.
