  1. +Persis Johnson When broken down there is not one single good reason to even have a min. wage. Raising it would most likely resulted in this woman losing her job, or getting her hours cut at the very least. Just because one works a full time job does not mean they are entitled to a set income. I can work full time knitting ugly sweaters or digging holes in the desert, do I deserve a set income because of that? No. You are paid what you are worth in the market. As far as a roommate, you can get one with a one bedroom. I know of three guys living in a studio together. I worked with a lawyer who, while going through law school in the bay area, was living in a two bedroom with 3 other guys. It can be done. I am sorry that this entitled girl feels the need to whine more than work. Others out there actually find a way, she can as well.

  3. Who cares if she works full time. You can work full time digging holes in the desert, but that produces nothing thus you will get paid nothing. This involves the Subjective Value Theory. Just because she works full time does not mean she is valued at a certain price. She is valued at what others perceive her to be valued at. In this case that is the min. wage. If you are not earning enough you either have to find a way to earn more or cut expenses. It isn't about working harder, it is about working smarter.

  5. +Persis Johnson She moved to San Fran to work a min. wage job at one of the most expensive cities in the US. That is pathetic on her part. She can move 4 hours down the street to Nevada which a min. wage of $8.25/hr and much lower cost of living.
