There is some truth to prices going up. What also happens is job lost as well. Low skilled workers lose their jobs since they are not worth that price floor. It is similar to if the government were to mandate that every car had to be sold for $10,000, there will be a set of cars that will not get sold because they are nor worth $10,000. In the end there isn't one good argument to even have a min. wage.

It isn't about everyone being the owner or boss, it is about people taking on higher skilled jobs to earn more because they are more productive in the market place. Yes, there will be people needed to do low skilled jobs, but they will be people just entering he workforce, retirees, and those working a part time, low wage job all for supplemental incomes. Radicals like Kyle here feel that min. wage workers are individuals scraping to get by but that isn't the case. If someone is trying to make a living off of the min. wage than that is their problem. The majority aren't though. The majority live in a household where they are not the primary earner. In the end you are paid what you are worth according to the market. It is up to you to figure out how to make a living. If you are not making enough either find a way to make more or cut expenses.
