***** Climate change is happening, the problem is that there are questions in how? Is it bad and can or should we do anything about it. I always here that 97% being tossed around. It disturbs me that people are so quick to trust a group of people this easily. It is no different than a group of people trusting a bunch of priest on the issue of religion. Pretty much an ignorant crowd puts their faith into people who supposedly "know" what is going on and then refuse to question them. There is nothing wrong with questioning the issue.

Actually if we allowed the "fucktards" (I am assuming you mean the right) you would see improvement. There is an incentive by companies to create better goods and services that are environmental friendly. If you don't believe me than compare our cars of now to those of the 50s.

Luckily the 1st amendment bans that.

Not necessarily, a home is a great indicator or wealth when, on average, around 60% of a person's wealth is tied into their home. My old advisor drove a POS car, but had a great home and made a nice living doing research. He has tenure and has a nice, study job.

There is some truth to this. Working in science myself I do see research groups continue to push methods and data to continue receiving grants even though their particular method and data are not necessarily the best. Comparing those grants to what Fox did in their investment is flawed in that those grants are government funded where Fox is a private business. When all of these grants favor certain research groups there is something to be said about it. There is nothing wrong with having a counter argument in science either, because that is an important concept in science. Putting all of your trust in one group of scientists so easily is foolish and dangerous. They are human too and they are going to do what benefits them first most of the time.
