  1. A general strike would be for businesses to open up and tell the government to fuck off. Problem is that around half the nation trusts the government so much they buy into the fact this virus is dangerous and is willing to support shut downs but then has a surprised face when that same government does nothing to help you out.

  2. I agree, our politicians are taking advantage we are divided and are using it to grow in power. People on both sides are talking revolt. Problem is one half feels revolting is doing what people like the gym owner in NJ is doing or what a Greek restaurant owner in Ventura, CA did. They opened their businesses via some protest. The NJ gym owners opened up and basically told Murphy to fuck off. The greek restaurant owner "protested" by placing tables and chairs outside for people to sit at if they want to. He offered only take out and did not serve people at those tables, he just set them out there. He was shut down by the health department because that form of "protest" did not follow the right politics. However, them opening up their businesses allow them them earn money and pay staff. Problem is that half the nation supports these shutdowns, no matter how inconsistent they are or how unscientific they are because they are scared of the virus. But then becomes angry when the government does not help them. How do we unite at that point?
