The vast majority were of people high risk of death to begin with. Next evidence is that changes of standards. Many democrat ran states refuse to open up despite having low cases. In April NY as seeing around 11,000 cases a day Now they see around 700 since June, but they are not opening schools. They had around 300,000 active cases in June, now they are around 60,000. NJ saw around 4000 cases a day in April but now see around 300 and have since June. They were at 130,000 active cases a day in May, now they are at around 17,000, and they cannot even eat indoors. The whole point of shut downs was to relieve our healthcare system. We did but many democrat ran states still want to lock down. Why? To keep people's lives miserable to try to beat Trump. Pelosi went into a hair salon and then blamed the owner. The virus is real, it is that democrats are abusing the situation to try to beat Trump.

"Elderly", that is the key word. So they were at high risk to begin with. Stats for you, 40% who died were in nursing homes according to the University of MN. According to UCSF 50% of new nursing home patients die within 5 months. So during this same time span with the virus almost all of those 40% would be dead anyway. Meanwhile, people are losing their businesses, substance abuse is up, suicides are up, divorce is up. Millions are suffering and for what? So someone at high risk of death can live a few more months. This is a scam to try to beat Trump.. Noticed how the states with the highest death rates and still the strictest lock downs are ran by democrats?

  14.  @Grandude77  I said over 99%, so less than a percent. Also, the case number is understated as is. A Penn State study suggests that in March there were actually over 8 million people who were infected as opposed to the 100,000 that were reported.

Look at CA, all these fire happen mainly in public forests the government, ran by democrats, do not take care of. Private owners take care of their land. Guess what all those fires emit? Define a "non-essential" business. If I am a business owner I will say it is essential. And a UBI does not work. You cannot consume what you don't produce. Look at the situation early one. People, no matter how much money they had, would not be able to buy toilet paper. Why? There were non on the shelves. Plus, the curve has been flattened. Why are we still shutdown? Trump cut out the fat in the federal government and gave more powers to the states. Also, politicians have climate change wrong. We do not know if it is even a threat? In fact, when parts of the nation started too open back up the economy was recovering rather quickly. Why? Because the economy did not fall apart due to some crack in it. It fell apart because states forced businesses to shut down. Mark my word, after the election the virus will no longer be mentioned. Either Biden will win and democrats will have to make him look good and open back up, or Trump will win and democrats will start pulling an Al Gore and demand recounts, especially if we have mail in ballots.

Multiple studies give different numbers to as low as 0, to as high as 60,000. With numbers that small it is hard to get an accurate count.
