  2. With both flags there are people who disagree with one or the other. There are people who disagree with one or the other ideas of the flags. If you are to take down one you have to take down the other one in order to be equal. Also, the gay community has over stepped their bounds on some issues. Remember how a gay couple shut down a cake shop when they could have went elsewhere? And name me one right that gay people have lacked. In all, if you are going to say that government buildings and places can't fly the confederate flag because some people do not like it, than you can't fly the gay flag either.

A person who attended the rally in Charlottesville was asked to leave his job because customers did not feel comfortable being around a racist. It goes both ways. Due to pressure from the employer he "resigned".

  5. Katrina S, how do you know being racist is a choice? Have you done psychological studies on it? Also, as in being gay, your thoughts and actions are different. You can be a racist, but if you do not practice it then it is the same as being gay but not practicing it.

  10. I agree, in the public there should be the USA flag and the state flag, that's it. Maybe a school flag at public schools. But no confederate flag or rainbow flags.

  12. Baron von Quiply, a gay couple went into a cake shop and wanted a cake for their gay wedding. The owners did not want one of their cakes to be displayed in a gay wedding. The gay coupled cried and got the shop shut down as opposed to just taking their business elsewhere.

  13. Geeky_Girl, the civil rights act was in reaction to Jim Crow Laws. There have never been laws forcing discrimination against gays. Also, by the Constitution every gay person has the same rights as straight people.
