Hahahahahaha, this is amazing. Keep losing ultra leftists. No one wants your communist agenda.
7
Yep, keep saying that Bernie is popular. Meanwhile, people that run on his ideas continue to lose.
6
People are smarter than you think. This woman is a nut and people do not want her radical ideas. Also, pushing to end coal in WV is not going to win you anything.
5
I thought the "revolution" was going to be televised?
3
Define "regular people". That's vague. Also, there are strong arguments to be made that the rich are in the best position to lead us. They are rich for a reason, they have strong work ethics and are intelligent. Also, this lady would find a job after this. She is fine.
2
Yep, the republican winner received more votes when more people to compete against.
2
Ron bat, there were more republicans in the race.
2
Venom 9390, I thought the "revolution" was going to be televised?
2
Burrito, so wanting less government interference in my life makes me a slave?
2
FJBZ3, 1. This is a local election. The "lack of coverage" is asinine. I am very involved in my local community and I have not seen much in advertisements in my area. The most are from billboards and local TV commercials. Pay for them. Stop playing the victim here. Also, if Bernie is so popular it should not matter. 2. Again, if they are popular they should have no problem raising money. And money is not the only factor. Bush raised a lot and lost in the primaries. Fact is that people do not support these radical candidates.
2
Ultra leftists like Kyle are delusional. One person on here kept bringing up the fact that Bernie was beating Trump in the polls. I guess they are passionate for their ideas.
2
Her supporters were too lazy to go out and vote.
1
30% of the vote in a local election is not that large.
1
Henk, exactly. Coal is going away but candidates who push to remove it this quickly are not going to win, and shouldn't. We need to push kids in WV to look at other careers and slowly reduce the coal industry. But this woman wanted to destroy it killing many jobs in that area.
1
"There was to be a paid training program to transition over time to renewable energy jobs" So people in their 40s with kids and family are going to have to learn a new skill?
1
Daniel Pincu, people who are young can learn new skills. But people in the coal industry now, even if they are in their 30s, should not be forced into a new lifestyle. We need to allow the economy to evolve at a steady rate. We can't force things.
1
Daniel, when you are 40 you have family and other things on your mind. Also, do people at that age have the mental capacity to learn at that point? I agree to adapting to changes. If a job leaves due to the natural change of the market that's life. I do not like the government killing jobs.
1
Crescendyr, I never said they were stupid. I feel that people are very intelligent and can do a lot. However, people make life choices based on their desire and not necessarily their skills. One choice is having a family. So you want to force Bob to get new training, while working, and while studying for a new job they will miss little Billy's baseball game. Is that what you support? I do recall Bernie Sanders preaching about family values.
1
Crescendyr, so you are going to spend money to train people for a job they might do, or might be willing to? That is a huge risk. Also, you are starting to go down the route of communism. You take away their job but then have them do another you feel is necessary.
1
Andrew 1010, not just that, but what is good for the market? The government is not good at deciding that. I understand the concerns of pollution but there is also the concern of productivity, people's jobs and their lives. It does irritate me how many leftists here want others to make sacrifices for a cause but these leftists are not willing to make these sacrifices themselves. I do feel that the market would push for "green" energy over time. We have seen it already to be honest.
1
CA has a high viewership of those programs due to it being so large. Also, CA is a great example of what happens when you go too far left, you get a corrupt government.
1
Sanders won because he was the easier candidate to beat. In red states like that with open primaries typically republicans would vote for the democratic candidate that is an easier opponent to beat.
1
The Proud Gringo, being rich does say something about someone. Not saying that is the default, but it does show a high chance they work hard, can manage a busy lifestyle well, and handle high level of stress among other things. Kyle is dismissive of rich people like most do on the ultra left do.
1
Kyle is ultra left. Also, I do not worship the rich. However, this I question if this candidate has the experience and ability to handle the stress of being a politician. A person's income is usually a sign.
1
This is funny to me. Can't wait for more defeats.

Sir Deprington IV, if I get cancer in the US I have a higher chance of survival compared to other countries.
1
The Mother Flickers, those polls are not reliable. Polling questions are very shallow and lack details. Take universal healthcare for example. Polls may show support for it on the surface, but in Colorado 80% of voters said no. Colorado is a left leaning state that voted for Bernie in the primaries. Why did they vote no? They were given more information such as tax increases or the burden on the industry. You keep citing these opinion polls with vague questions while ignoring reality. If it makes you feel good then fine, but realize that people do not support these ideas.
1
Burrito 1. And? Why add more? 2. Define "rich"? In reality me, and my $23,000 a year income, am better off than a rich person from the 50s. Einstein was a physicists, what's your point? Fact is that through innovation people's lives are getting better where the "poor" today are better than the "rich" of the past. 3. Uh, those men are my enemy. They want to raise my taxes as well.
1
fishlove69, polls of Sanders vs Trump were irrelevant as Sanders was never subjected to attack ads from the RNC.
1
Sir Derpington IV, what facts did I ignore? I addressed them all.
1
fishlove69, you also have to consider that Bernie, along with this lady's supporters, are too lazy to get out and vote. They assumed that others would vote for them.
1
Chander S, these people literally believe that government has a magic wand and can just create things.
1
Alex, if Bernie Sanders win I promise everyone here that I would run naked down Pennsylvania Ave. saying "Trump got screwed" to look like a crazy Trump supporter.
1
fishlove69, by law you are given time off work to vote.
1
fishlove69, pointing out that Bernie stole electricity and rallied along side known socialist leaders would not sit well with the middle class. Also, it doesn't matter if he would have won, Trump is president and Bernie isn't.
1
Alex, Bernie won't win in 2020 because of these reasons 1. Trump, as the incumbent, has the inside track. How many incumbents have lost since 1900? Not many. Ones that have are mainly for poor economic performances. The economy is growing under Trump 2. Bernie was never subjected to attack ads. Rumor had it there was a folder 2 feet thick of attack ads. Issues like him not having a real job until he was 40. He first "real job" was as a politician. He stole electricity from his neighbor. He supported socialist leaders like Castro. That is not going to sit well with hard working families who do pay their bills and do work. Seeing a socialist like Bernie rally on raising taxes to give free stuff to the poor who refuse to work, when he never worked in his life would not sit well 3. He would lose FL and NV as swing states due to the Hispanic population opposing his socialist ideas 4. People would oppose his high tax rate ideas. 5. People are smarter than what you think. They will see Bernie during the debates as a very angry person with nothing but talking points 6. The polls are irrelevant. He was never subjected to attack ads and in primaries independents do not watch the candidates that closely. You can keep looking at polls but there is way too much against him.
1
Alex, again, the polls are irrelevant. Bernie was never exposed for who he was. Millions still see him as this old senator from Vermont. The fact that people know very little about him would destroy him. People saw him as clean. There is a lot of dirt on him and after that gets slung on him people would despise him. He might win 10 states if he ran in 2020.

Raizhen010, find the comment where I said I earned that much. I will wait.

ScoopMeisterGeneral, communism in development is doing away with the private sector and the government telling people what to do. Bernie and his fan base want that. They preach about the "guaranteed job program" for people. They want to do away with the private sector. They do not say it directly but if you want Bernie he has no desire to respect the private sector and does not have any concerns about their issues. You may disagree all you want but these ultra leftists are communists.
