Pvt. GamingGummyBear, Bernie always screams about the top 1% and the Koch Brothers and the Walton family. But when pushed on the issues he has admitted he has to raise taxes on everyone. And even if it is just the 1% they are not all millionaires and billionaires. Bernie went on his usual talking point to distract others from the fact that he can't answer the question.

Titanallante, a federal government that is $20 trillion in debt will save use money? I am sorry but I will save myself money.

Richard Nava, actually he never did. Cruz challenged him on it several times and he never denied it. In this debate he literally said everyone's taxes will go up

Audience member: "Government is growing and spending, more don't you support a tax cuts" Bernie: "THE WALTON FAMILY AND THE KOCH BROTHERS HAVE A LOT OF MONEY"

Durell, define the "uber rich".

A lot of people rather keep their money and not have SS in the future, including me. If no SS means less taxes than I am all for it.

Immediately Bernie is wrong. Wealth does not equal income. Next, Bernie went on rant about the Koch Brothers and the Walton family. Who cares about them? They are a handful of people. This man said directly that he wants a tax cuts for all people. Bernie wants to raise taxes on everyone but masks it as taxing only two families. Kyle is wrong in that tax cuts are not giving money to people. It is allow people to keep the money they earn. It is a twist of words he uses as he can't defend a tax increase. Bernie looked like a fool here.

" why so many poorer people or even middle class people are more or less okay with the fact of the rich getting a tax break is because for the most part everybody believes that one day they will be rich." That is not true. The reality is that when you tax the rich they pass it on to the middle and lower class. Also, the idea of taxing the rich and the government providing is intruding on people's lives. People, for the most part, want to mind their own business and fuck. They don't want the government harassing them. In colonists were paying a lower rate than the British in taxes. They didn't like the idea of a centralized government overseas invading their lives. Same now. People don't like the idea of politicians in DC like Bernie taxing them and invading their life. People don't care about the rich, they care about themselves.

True, but Bernie frames it as if he is attacking Apple or some other major corporation.

Bernie did get destroyed. Bernie looked shocked that a hard working middle class American does not want socialism.

I watched the full debate. In this Bernie got a taste of his own medicine. When people press Bernie on issues he resorts to the same talking points. As we have seen in this debate it was about "Millionaires and billionaires" and "The Koch Brothers". It is very old and has nothing to do with actual data or progress. Constantly attacking a handful of people you simply don't like is not how you create policy. This man was clear, he wants tax cuts for all Americans. Bernie tried to play his game and the man came back with the same response. You saw how Bernie reacted, he had nothing to say. Well, it is the same when people debate Bernie. Cruz presented his case and data to Bernie and Bernie went on with a rant about the Koch brothers. Fact is people don't care about the Koch brothers, they care about themselves. What is Bernie going to do to help out middle class Americans? Attacking the Koch Brothers won't do anything.

That is a loaded question. Even with that if someone is successful, and their kin are successful than who cares?
