  7. Jake Henderson, he is well liked, that is different than being popular. Many candidates that run supporting him and his ideas are losing by wide margins. The only evidence of him being "popular" are approval ratings where if you dig into them there are common trends such as senators being from low populated state (the top four are from Vermont and Wyoming). Many people like him but don't view him as a strong leader which is why he did not win the presidency. Also, no one has ever attacked him. If he ran against Trump the RNC has a folder 2 feet thick of dirt on him that would have people hating him such as him stealing electricity from his neighbor when he was younger. Bernie's advantage is that no one knows who he is and sees him as a cute old senator from Vermont. If people actually knew about him he would not be liked at all.

This is a guy who could not pay his bills while he was in his 30s, his only job was working as a politician which means he is paid with tax dollars, and he wants to run a system where he raises everyone's taxes to pay for other people's stuff. That will not resonate well with the middle class. Think about is, you are a middle class worker, working hard to pay bills, raise a family, build up a home, etc. Meanwhile, you see this old socialist who never done any of that. Who could not pay his bills, who could not get an actual job until he was in politics at the age of 40, and now who wants to raise that middle class worker's taxes to pay for other lazy people's things. That will not resonate well at all with that kind if people. He would have been destroyed in states like Ohio, Iowa, Michigan and other swing states.

  14. bacascione bacascioni, Bernie was never exposed to any attack ads. Clinton was during the primaries because the RNC wanted Bernie to win. He had a lot of dirt on him. The middle class in the rust belt is not going to vote for a socialist that wants to raise their taxes. Now add on to the fact that he never had a job until he was 40, and that was a job in government, and he never paid his bills because of that, he would have been destroyed. The middle class are struggling families who work a lot, have to raise families, pay bills, pay off their home, etc. Bernie never experienced that life. He was a lazy bum that got a career in politics. He does not represent the middle class at all. He represents the entitlement crowd where the middle class would have voted against him on.

How? We were living together and I earned enough to pay the bills and rent. Your living situation is based on more than just your wage.
