The issue is that when someone like Dr. Fauci constantly fear mongers that does not help. First it were deaths, pictures of mass graves and lines of fridges as temporary morgues. Now it is simply cases with deaths being down. The media, recently, switched back to deaths when record numbers occurred in FL, TX and CA. The deaths were in the lower 100s. NY were seeing over 900 a day. When the narrative is constantly negative people either one, stop listening, or two, freak out. Both of which are not good. I bet more will be on board if positive stories were given during this time showing there is an end in site, and we need to just push. Instead, our leaders failed us.

@ryangoepfert9112 no, it is to keep people calm and also have wishful thinking. When you are only negative people tune out. I have with Fauci because he has nothing positive to say. As if it is the constant "we are all going to die". There are positive signs Fauci could have talked about. Such as in May evidence came out of long term immunity. The means an end will come with this virus, we just need to hang in there. This is how proper leaders act all the time.

The situation is that the virus is not that deadly, we were misled by fear mongering and no hope for an end. At the beginning it was all deaths, pictures of mass graves and lines of temporary morgues. Now it is cases with Fauci saying we are on the wrong direction even though deaths are down. Nothing positive from Fauci (until recently about the vaccine), all negative and fear mongering. When that is the approach you have two camps. Those who freak out and those who stop listening. If Fauci would have given positive news at times showing an end is coming more people would agree with these measure. Instead, they stopped listening.

So one person dies. This more or less shows their point. The issue isn't if the virus is real or not but more of showing it is not that deadly. And basically those who attended are immune.
