Another reason why we do not see these problems with car insurance is because of the payroll tax. The payroll tax made it so businesses pay with healthcare insurance as opposed to a higher wage to avoid paying taxes. Thus healthcare insurance has become healthcare. If people were to choose their insurance plan instead and were pay a higher wage insurance will only cover emergencies and minor things such as physicals can be paid out of pocket.

I can easily add to that list for food, housing, cars, clothes, cable, etc. I mean, government funds roads, schools, police, why not everything else? You are arbitrarily picking healthcare at that point. Next, defense spending is around 4% of our GDP. Healthcare is around 16%. Roads are locally ran and funded and defense spending is constitutional. "There is a reason the US ranks the lowest of all modern nations. " That is a myth. When you run through the numbers nothing suggests that the US is doing poorly in healthcare. We have problems but so do other nations.

Alkezo1, Steven wants to debate Kyle. Kyle refuses. I do agree that about the potholer54 debate issue, but at the same time potholer54 is no better. He cherry picks what videos to rip on. potholer54 (who, BTW is not a scientist) did no mention the Bill Nye video Steven did or the video where he had a discussion with a scientist. potholer54 lives in his little bubble himself. As a whole, I feel Steven should debate potholer54, Kyle should debate Steven, but out of the three Steven is has the most credibility. And Steven has debated people before that think differently than him.

Alkezo1, also on healthcare. Canada has problems. While i felt that Steven's video was bias in an extreme way and showed the bad side of Canada's care, what it did show was that single payer and universal systems have problems. When you run through the stats you see that the US in on par with the rest of the world and nothing suggests that universal healthcare is better than what the US has. Thus we should improve on the system we have now as opposed to completely replacing it. People pushing for a federal single payer system are just as stupid as those who push for a completely free market system.
