Same goes for you. When the economy booms I will remember left wingers comments.

Polls are around a couple thousand people. A couple thousand people where you do not know where they live, their income, age, etc. Polls are not reliable.

Matthew, I know what it is. The problem is 2000 is still a very small number considering the diversity of our country. Also, these are phone polls where with the onset of caller ID they have become unreliable. You have to also consider these polling questions are very vague and leave out details. For example, giving an option of "Replacing the ACA with a federally funded healthcare program providing insurance for all Americans" is very vague as it ignores taxes and overall economic impact. On that poll question the other two options were to "repeal" or to "keep" the ACA. There was not "repeal and replace" option, and if replaced replace it with what? It is a vague question on a complex topic. Keeping with healthcare even though around 60% wanted the first option, 80% said no to universal healthcare in Colorado. Make me question the poll to where if more information is given do people change their minds? Also, with phone polling you do not know if the person on the other side is who they really are, and you cannot see their personal expressions on the issues. It is vague and not trustworthy. Polls have value, but they should never be taken that seriously.

" what did he lie about?" About the tax increase on those earning $75,000 a year. That is not permanent because democrats said they would filibuster the tax bill if it were to be in the bill. Cruz brought that up in the debate with Bernie Sanders and Bernie never denied it. Also, that tax increase will happen in 10 years from now where a new congress will be pressured to set a rate. What politician is going to raise taxes and risk their political career?
2
"owever, research revealed that "Obamacare" actually net reduced the increase in insurance costs after enacted" That is not true. The reason why the rate slowed down is because of the recession. In fact, premiums should not have been going up during a recession, but it did.
1
Terry Tater, I respond most of the time. Sometimes work gets in the way. Sometimes I just am not informed someone responded. Now what was wrong with what I said?
1
"When republicans write policy, regular people get screwed." How so? This tax bill is cutting taxes for almost everyone. "You personally, need to accept that automation and robotics will end full employment." Not for decades, if that soon even.
1
RBEmpathy, in all it isn't that simple. Healthcare is not a simple issue to tackle. I believe that Obamacare was a mess and should be repealed, but done slowly and we should move to a free market system. But that is another issue to discuss. But to say Obamacare slowed down the growth of premiums, well, that isn't exactly true.

"Minimum wage hasn't been raised since the 80's while productivity has increased three fold." Productivity has gone up because of technology. It has led to better goods and services that are cheaper which is essentially a wage increase.
1
"actually there was a Forbes article on it that explained it all, so are they lying too?" Where? And what was wrong with the source I gave?
1
"I look at other countries with a single payer system Hmm, seems like they got their shit together and figured out." Well actually not as they have shortcomings as well and also tackle different issues with their culture. https://www.aei.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/-the-business-of-health_110115929760.pdf There is a good book to read. If you want other sources I can give these as well "True versus reported waiting times for valvular aortic stenosis surgery" Can J Cardiol. “ "Analysis of deaths while waiting for cardiac surgery among 29,293 consecutive patients in Ontario, Canada" Heart "Too many patients with cancer die in acute care hospitals despite palliative options: report" CMAJ People die in other countries due to their shortcomings as well. It will help you if you actually studied the issue. "So, I need to ask, how much money do you make a year" $23,000 a year. You always point to that quote which I support. I stand by it 100%. When two radical groups fight and someone dies I do not care. But yeah, instead of going after the issue we are discussing and getting into details of what I said and why I am not correct, you just smear me. I will add this new trophy to my trophy case of victories against you.
1
sprybug, you should watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkDANY6KyDo Matt Christiansen describes you well.
1
" There was a Forbes article about how Obamacare didn't raise your premiums." What about my source? Did you read it? What was wrong with it? Or it is just easier to say talking points and move on in life with ignorance?
1
sprybug, I actually enjoy you smearing me as opposed to you debating the ideas. It shows you cannot debate me so you just smear me and walk away. That is why I claim victory.
1
Mickey G, insurance companies had to raise prices due to taking on expensive customers. That is simple economics. Demand went up while supply stayed constant.

You trade capital. You consume capital. Without capital you will not be having this computer.

Robert Smith, that sunset provision was only added because democrats said they would filibuster if it was added. Cruz brought that up in the debate against Bernie Sanders along with Tim Scott. Bernie did not deny it. Even at that no tax cut or increase is permanent. And that is 10 years away. We will have a new congress and president by then and they can handle it. " The poorest people who used to pay 10% in federal taxes will now pay 12%" In reality they got money back from the government.
1
Sean M., the people voted for republicans on the idea of cutting taxes. The polls are wrong.
1
If all we need to know is that the top tax payers earn 82% of the benefits I am fine. Why? Because the top 1% have been paying most of the taxes. When people on the bottom pay zero you can't cut that.
1
I get more money. I am excited.
1
ch33tos sesh, I am remembering your comments. See you in 5 years during an economic boom.
1
"..after reagan cut taxes and deregulated we had a resession" We had an economic boom. "you know when they cut taxes and deregulated in the roaring 20's.....oh wait we had the great depression" What caused the depression was massive spending by the federal government trying to "fix" the economy.
1
The Zou 42, to add, Kyle talks about how the rich receive a large portion of these tax cuts. Well, the rich pay a large portion of the taxes where over 40% of the nation pay no federal taxes at all after returns. You can't cut zero. While Kyle is not really lying there he is being very deceptive.
1
Kyle is kind of an idiot, or he is lying. He has so many facts wrong here. For example, pointing out the tax increase in 2027 is asinine. By then we will have a new president and new congress members. And nothing is "permanent" government. Ted Cruz explained to Bernie Sanders why they did not make it permanent and Bernie did not deny. Cruz said that democrats were going to filibuster the tax reform if they made the tax cuts permanent on the middle class. And again, Bernie did not deny it.
