" While I disagree with that ruling as it should be a state issue as no such rights that exist in the constitution here is the difference. With gender and race that is who you physically are. Sexuality is largely based on actions. You can be gay, but if you don't act in a way to express than than you are fine. Having sex with little boys is illegal, that is an action. Being attracted to little boys is not illegal. It is not the best thoughts to have and many feel it is sick, but not illegal. That is the difference in the case of sex and race vs sexuality.

  7. kay jay, you are missing the point. In homosexuality you are attracted to someone of the same sex much like someone can be attracted to sexuality to little kids. I am not saying either one is good or bad, I am saying they are similar in that regard. What they are also similar in that you don't have to act on those urges. That is what can get you fired. How about I compare it to this then. I, as a straight male, find some of my college female students attracted. They are pretty, in their 20s and intelligent. Does that get my fired? No. What will get me fired are sexual advances toward them or even suggesting other activities outside of the classroom and office. Same with homosexuality. You can naturally be attracted to the same sex, but how you act is key. That is different than a gender and a race. You don't act black or act like a woman. You are that way biologically. Being gay is like being straight, there has a physical act attached to it.
