Jace, if after going through the K-12 public school system you need more education from the government than you are a lost cause.

Chris, if you devalue a college degree than employers will look at other characteristics instead. Having a college degree is just one of many things employers look for.
5
It is more complicated than that. You increase the demand for college which will increase the price. Plus, around 5.5 million of those people are either 14 and under or 65 and older, people who don't work. Plus, out of the remaining 14 million who many of them work as well? You have to factor that in as well.

I find it funny how people feel Bernie support them but meanwhile he owns three homes. He doesn't care about you.
3
Jace, police are locally ran and funded. Around 3/4 of public roads are funded at the state and local level. And federal funding is constitutional. Jace, you need to learn how the government function.
3
Jace, it does devalue the degree. Supply and demand. Maybe you should go to NY and get a "free" economics degree.

"So that's why the U.S. population believes various fantastical religions, and perpetuates conservatism?" What is wrong with conservatism? There are valid arguments on that side. The fact that so many college students supported Bernie shows to me that college is not helping them as Bernie, to me, is one of the few politicians that is a complete idiot. " but a K-12 education does not allow one to discern the legitimacy of that information, " ' Which seems to be a problem with the K-12 education. But, again, many college students supported Bernie and his political talking points of "fair share" and "living wage" which means nothing. What is the problem with K-12 education. Are conservatives fighting against it? I will say no. The problems are teacher unions and the department of ed.
3
They did at one point, their universities are falling apart.

You can't make it federal. We need to see how this is done at the state level first before we go large. K-12 education is ran at the state level as is.
2
I can see many students getting an education and moving to a cheaper state later.
2
Most who serve in the military comes from the midwest.
2
"So, you are suggesting that K-12 is sufficient education?" It has been for years. With the internet you have all the information you want at your fingertips. You should have the ability to reason and think logically and critically. The fact that you can't after a K-12 education is a failure on that system which suggests that expanding it more will not help at all.
2
" In most states, K-12 education. Is incredibly white-washed, refuses to cover many topics, and does not teach critical thinking in any of its curriculum." One reason why they don't teach critical thinking is because of the federal DOE which pushes for test taking. Also, some places don't teach certain topics because there is no one there to teach it. "College courses tend to have a greater focus on critical thinking" I beg to differ. How are conservatives racists? They are not the ones pushing for the soft bigotry of low expectations? Many conservative economic policies work very well. How do they screw over the poor? Police brutality is overblown because of the left. The justice system, while not ideal, is good. The case you referred to dealing with Gorsuch is you showing your bias. Here is what that truck driver could have done. 1. Pack blankets and a space heater 2. Read a weather report and not drive in the cold. You do know that businesses are not always at fault.
2
Not all of those states are conservative. For example, MO has a democrat for a governor. Even at that many have strong education programs. And how are republicans racist? Remember, the left supports the soft bigotry of low expectations.
2
Chris, I bet you are one of those people that feel blacks are too stupid to know how to get a ID.
2
" New York is the largest economy in America" Jace, that is not true.
2
I am sure Kyle hardly pays taxes as can do write offs with his failing business.

"You don't believe in global warming," You using the world "believe' in something associated with science shows you don't understand science and want to turn it into a religion. Believe is associated with religion, not science. Being skeptical is what science is all about.

Democrats have a history of passing laws that hurt those at a disadvantage. The min. wage has raised unemployment for black youths which has made them worse off.

To be honest CA's campuses are ugly, and that is the main reason why. Compare K-12 schools to colleges in terms of looks alone and you will see. I was at UCA the other day and that campus is beautiful. My campus I go to is pretty in many ways. I been to Bakersfield and their campus is ugly and worn down.

Now we will see what happens. This is fine if done at the state level. If it works than other states will follow. If now than NY will suffer and other states will succeed.
1
Chris, you want people who are skilled and can think critically. Just sending people to college does not necessarily create that. One of the problems we have is that people blindly go to college without thinking about what it takes to actually get and work at a job.
1
"No, they never taught critical thinking in conservative state in the first place." What is a "conservative state"? "I graduated from college about 2 years ago. I know for a fact that college teaches critical thinking." I am a PhD candidate in physical chemistry and I know college in depth. Yes, in the STEM fields they do tend to teach logic and problem solving, but you also have the lack of social skills involved. And you also have other fields. "Conservatives have not gone a single year since 1965 in any of the Southern states without passing one or more laws that violated the Civil Rights act and attempted to deny minorities in the state either representation, or the right to vote." That is 100% not true. "Police brutality is rampant in the police force " Not really. "The truck driver couldn't have done either of those things. " Most truck drivers do. Most truck drivers stop early for the night when cold weather is coming. "he did not have sufficient materials to keep warm, " Like a blanket and space heater, both of which he could have packed. " and it was literally his job to drive on that day" He did not have too if he felt it was going to be told cold.
