  5.  @redshield3296  , exactly. That is how the far left thinks. Saying GDP is total wealth is simply not true. It is derived from investments both public and private. Wealth plays a role but wealth cannot be invested until it is liquidated. These far left individuals clearly don't understand economics. I felt that way from the beginning but as I study economics more and more I see it more and more.

  25.  @DadNoStop  , if 2 people have 99% of the money in a large nation than there is no private or public investment thus GDP is down. Higher GDP means more investment and growth. To do that you have to invest to generate growth. People hoarding all the money does not do that. So you analogy is pretty weak.

  26. They are making more. That is what happened to me. My refund was slightly lower (which is deceptive because I have 3 1099s), but my paycheck was larger.
