It is also one of the dumbest conclusions one can come up with. People kill each other over a soccer game, does that mean sports make people do evil things?

" Einstein was a physicist 99 percent of all of his work was wrong." Really? You completely lack understanding of science.

This is why the gun control debate is a joke. Removing guns won't solve the problem of crime and terrorism. If someone wants to kill they will find a way. And as history has shown with this, 9/11 and the Bath Township disaster, other methods are deadlier.

If you remove guns then you will have incidents like this more often. That or bombs, or people getting guns illegally. The point is that guns are not the issue. If you remove guns people will find a way to kill others. As history has shown other methods are deadlier. Around 100 people killed by a truck, how many killed in one shooting?

Also, shootings involving the deaths of lots of people don't happen every few weeks.

It doesn't make it harder. A guy used a truck and killed around 100 people. What shooting in the US has caused that many deaths? The Bath Township disaster killed 42 people with a bomb. What shootings killed that many? It seems other methods are more efficient. This is not a gun problem at all. You point to Norway when France, with strict gun laws had a mass shooting recently. By the way, "mass shooting" is not defined. There are statistics that show that the US has less killings in what is called "rampage shooting" than Norway from the time period of 2009-2013. It is based on people killed per 100,000. We have a much larger population than Norway. So what you said is not necessarily true. And "while there are mass shootings almost daily in the US" is 100% not true.

You have to adjust by population. We have more people thus we have a higher potential of shootings, period. We have 320+ million people, Norway has around 5 million. We have states that are larger than Norway. You really need to learn how to read and analyze statistics better.
1
I understand all of what you said. You can remove outliers in the US and when you do you see that the US is comparable in crime compared to other countries. We have pockets of high crime like East St. Louis, Flint, Chicago, South Central LA etc. As a whole in the US guns are not a problem. Yes we had 38 shootings according to that chart which is 38 times more than Norway. But the US population is 64 times greater than Norway. As I said, you need to learn how to read and analyze statistics better.

The overall point was to show to the other poster that other countries have problems as well. They specifically said Norway when they have had a shooting. France has just had a shooting as well. Those are countries with strict gun control. We have 64 times as many people in the US compared to Norway. There is a greater chance for a shooting to happen based off of that. To make a better comparison there were 16 cases from 2009 to 2015 where there was as shooting where 15 or more people died. Four of those were in the US. Two were in France, two were in Germany, two were in the UK. France, UK and Germany have a combined population of around 200 million. That is still less than 320 million. As a whole I hate making side by side comparisons of countries due to the large differences. But to say other countries don't face mass shootings is a completely lie. Also, you do need to learn how you read and analyze statistics better. In the end we are comparing the US of 320 million people to countries of around 5 million. But when you combine those countries to get a population comparable to the US you see similar stats. If you use your brain you will realize that.

Kyle's statement around 6 minutes is incredibly asinine. In 1964 over 300 people were killed at a soccer match. There are several incidents of disasters happening at sporting events. So sports motivate people into doing bad things?
