And yes, other modern nations have a "fair" tax system. In Denmark, for example, the highest tax bracket is $55,000. The Nordic nations have more of a flat tax than we do. A flat tax is fair. How do we rank low?

The fact is that rankings are arbitrary as anyone can do any legit analysis on the stats they want and come up with any ranking they want. The US is a nation fo 320+ million people with states larger than many nations. Our culture is very diverse and different. It is impossible to come up with an accurate ranking. That is why I challenged you on these rankings and you only response is to "google it".

Say a CEO is paid $1,000,000 and employs 100 people. Now 10 years later he is paid $1,500,000 and employs 200 people. Yes, he pay end up 50%, but he increased the workforce by 100%. How about you look at the CEO pay vs number of employees ratio. Cutting CEO pay will not increase worker pay a significant amount. For example, if you were to cut the top 6 executive of Walmart to zero and give that money to the bottom 525,000 workers of Walmart those workers will get an extra $47 a year. That's it. As for the min. wage, the real min. wage is $0. That $20 an hour is a cherry pick, and deceptive number.

  8.  @niklashansen5432  , you can't compare CEO pay to one worker. You should compare it to the number of workers they hire. Also, as I showed you with Walmart, cutting CEO pay will not raise the wages of the workers, so why do it? The reality is that you are not poor because someone else is rich.

  10.  @LordBaldur  , the whole "rich can afford higher taxes" is a shallow argument, and also based on jealousy. Rich people have a different financial situation than the poor. That doesn't mean they can afford to pay a higher tax rate. A rich person may be running a business, or running a charity, or invests. Also, it isn't like they just keep their money under their bed. They leave it in banks where banks loan that money for people to start small businesses. At the federal level the best tax code is either 1. A tax on the states based on population like it was before 1913 or 2. A federal flat income tax with a consumption tax. But again, this idea that rich people can afford higher tax rates is a shallow argument. Also, Scandinavian nations that the far left loves to point to has more of a flat tax than the US does. For example, the highest tax bracket in Denmark is around $55,000. So if you want to follow their system you need to push for a flat tax.
