If the democrats want to win they have to stop being so radical and become more moderate.

Daniel Mc Namara Not really. Clinton was centrist in some ways but Bernie pulled her to far to the left. Even at that the entire party has been extreme. Bill Clinton was a centrist and was great. When Bush beat Gore the democrats have been on a witch hunt ever since and have been promoting radicals such as Reid and Pelosi to prestige positions in politics. Than they elected Obama. People are sick of how radical they have become which is why they continue to vote republican. The democrats need to become more centrist, improve our economy get energize people, especially their voters in order to win again.

erik bosemberg The left is radical. They have gotten to the point that they can't even defend their own policies because they are unpopular and do not work. If you oppose them they will call you racist, a bigot, or say you lack common sense and so on. They need to stop promoting politicians like Pelosi, Reid, Obama and so on to prestige positions and become more moderate. They have been losing since 2010 for a reason.

Daniel Mc Namara Obamacare was radical. Pushing for free college, a $15/hr min. wage, getting heavily involved in healthcare. Their tax policies are complex to where only the rich and intelligent can benefit.

Just a Lurker The GOP opposed Obama and for good reason.

crackrawkz Nope.

Just a Lurker Obama was a radical who had zero leadership skills and experience. He blamed republicans on day one and kept ripping them over and over again when he did not get his way. You never heard Bill Clinton talk like that.

BattleshipAgincourt How are republicans irrational?

Daniel Mc Namara Funny considering how the working class continues to vote for them.

There is logic here. The democratic base is appeal to emotion and pushing a celebrity that speaks well is energetic (like Obama was) will motivate young voters to come out and vote. There is smart strategy there.

Thermodynamic Obama won because he energized young voters. The democratic voting base is very volatile since it consists of people who are mainly 1. young 2. uneducated 3. poor People who appeal to emotions a lot, lack experience and are not really that involved in politics to begin with. If you get someone out there to energize them they have a chance.
