+André Strassburger I would agree. But you can't just say all the southern states are poor. States like ND, OH, and IN are in the top 10 for obesity. States like NY, CA, MA, CT are in the top 10 in highest Gini coefficients. Having a lot of rich people in a state will skew the results. A state like ND is near the bottom in terms of college degree attainment but has one of the strongest economies in the US. It is not exactly clear.

When Bernie wins, with the exception of Vermont, they have been borderline victories. When Clinton won it was by a lot. States like NY and CA would, at best, be borderline for Bernie. With Clinton coming from NY chances are he will not do well there. It might get closer but as a whole Bernie is too radical to win this election.

+Bilal A Nope, just radical in general, unless you are Cuba or N. Korea.

+Bilal A Now you are making radical comparisons. Countries in N. Europe have much smaller populations than the US and completely different cultures. For example, in colleges N. Europe does not have a program like the NCAA that exists in the US. You can't make a comparison. Also, they way they implement their programs are so different. Denmark has mandatory military. Germany tracks students so some are denied college entry just because the government says so. Norway funds their policies through oil. And just because you put "democracy" by a word does not mean it is any better. We can call something democracy bullying where three bullies vote in favor of harassing a kid. But that would be OK because it is a democracy.

+FreneticKey Looking at it it has Clinton basically winning 2 to 1 against Sanders in AZ and 3 to 1 in NY. It has Sanders barely winning in Utah. Sanders is done.

+Kenneth Attaway America was never a democracy at the federal level.

+André Strassburger How can you say they are poor? WV is 2nd to last in GDP per capita but is number 1 in home ownership rate. Do you consider that poor?
